Trailer Released For “Living Dark: The Story Of Ted The Carver”

Living-Dark-Movie-Poster-David-HuntCheck out the trailer for horror film “Living Dark: The Story Of Ted The Carver”. The film is directed by David Hunt and stars Chris Cleveland, Matthew Alan, Mark Hayter, Circus-Szalewski,  Jason Wolf. There is a limited screening set for November 7th as a showcase for distribution houses and for horror fans alike. “Living Dark” finished production back in ‘08 and was picked up by New Films International, finally things seem to be moving forward with this sales screening planned for the American Film Market.

Two brothers, reunited for their father's funeral, stumble upon the entrance to a nearby cave, where they are slowly forced to confront the true, nightmarish cause of their father's death. Based on the popular Ted the Caver Internet legend.

New Poster For “The Last Days On Mars” Ends The Search For Life

The official poster has landed for sci-fi/thriller “The Last Days On Mars” and if foretells the horrific end to man’s search for life on the red planet. “The Last Days On Mars” is directed by Ruairi Robinson and stars Liev Schreiber, Olivia Williams, Romola Garai, Elias Koteas, Tom Cullen, Goran Kostic, and Johnny Harris. . The film hits theatres on December the 6th but will have a VOD release this October 31st.

An astronaut crew on Mars is on the verge of a major breakthrough, having collected rock specimens that reveal microscopic evidence of life. In their last hours on the planet, two astronauts go back to a cavernous valley on the surface of Mars to collect further evidence for their discovery, but a routine excavation turns deadly when one of them falls to his death and his body is taken as a host and re-animated by the very life form they sought to discover.

Paranormal Horror “Haunter” Now Available For Halloween Season

The film stars Abigail Breslin, Stephen McHattie, David Hewlett and  Sarah Manninen. “Haunter” was an official selection at this year’s SXSW Film Festival.

Lisa Johnson is one day shy of her sixteenth birthday. And she will be forever. She and her family are dead and doomed to repeat that fateful last day before they were all killed in 1985. Only Lisa has “woken up” and realizes what is going on. She starts to feel as if she is being haunted, but the “ghost” turns out to be Olivia, a very much alive girl who lives in the house in the present day with her own family. With her help, Lisa discovers that the house once belonged to a serial killer who kidnapped teenage girls and burned their remains in a hidden furnace room. When he died, he became a Haunter – a powerful, evil spirit able to possess the living.

Teaser Released For Indie Action Horror “Reign Of The Vampire”

reign of the vampireJimmy Lee Combs has released a teaser trailer for his action horror “Reign Of The Vampire”. The indie film stars Matt Roszak, Natalie Waldrip, Kevon Ward, Marianne Page, Devin Ann Mugavero, Erica Jo Young, Seymour Muchmore and is produced through Combs’ Heart and Fire Productions. No official release date has been announced yet.

Reign of the Vampire follows Dante Bristol, a famed silver smith turned vampire from the 18th century. His wife was murdered and son abducted by an evil vampire named Lucian who extracted his revenge on Dante after he aided in the slaughter of his clan known as the blood dwellers.

Now, centuries later in present day America, Dante continues slaying vampires on his journey to find his son and kill Lucian once and for all. Along the way Dante saves the life of Jupiter, an eccentric woman obsessed with vampires and nags Dante to turn her into one.

Refusing to turn her, a deal between the two is made and Dante takes her under his wing, training her to fight along side him. Together they set out to slay vampires, destroy Lucian and get back Dante's son in a film that you don't want to miss sinking your fangs into! The Ripper Returns Tonight On “The Vampire Dairies”

the ripper“The Vampire Diaries” lands tonight on CW at 8 pm and sees the return of The Ripper. “Original Sin”: When Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Katherine (Nina Dobrev) have the same dream that Stefan (Paul Wesley) is in danger and desperately needs their help, they convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to help them find Stefan. However, their plans are thwarted by a mysterious young woman named Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) who seems to know everything about Stefan's history. In flashbacks to a distant time and place, Tessa reveals the shocking secrets in her past and what she has planned for the future. She also has a disturbing message for Damon about his own future. Silas (Paul Wesley) forces an unwilling accomplice to help him search for Katherine, leading to a confusing and life-threatening situation for Matt (Zach Roerig). Finally, Silas reveals the reason he's determined to find Katherine, and Damon and Elena face a disturbing new reality.

Web Series ‘Darknet’ Drops Teaser No. 2

darknetCanadian horror web series ‘Darknet’ has released a second teaser. The series premieres worldwide on October 31st before receiving a broadcast release in early 2014. ‘Darknet’ consists of six episodes that weave together bite-sized servings of urban horror. ‘Darknet’ offers snippets of people’s lives being interrupted by vivid instances of unexpected violence or shocking strangeness. New Poster Revealed For Indie Horror “Raw Cut”

A new poster has been revealed for indie horror “Raw Cut”. The film comes from Lock & Monkey Production and is directed by   Laura Zoe Quist. “Raw Cut” stars Christopher Soren Kelly, Daniel Ponickly, C. Ashleigh Caldwell, Laura Zoe Quist. The film holds it’s world premiere at La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles on Friday, October 18th.

When Adam Cohen invites his best college friends, Jack and Amanda, to his  new Wyoming home for a week’s getaway to meet his new fiancé, Stephanie, the two couples get much more than the peace and solitude they were hoping for. Stephanie asks for help with her thesis film, a ‘found footage’ piece. The friends are going to play-act a traditional horror story: two ingénues are stalked and murdered by two crazed hillbillies. But who is stalking whom? How far are we willing to go for our art? How much will people take before they burst? Raw Cut explores the meta world between found footage and reality. What starts as a traditional horror film turns into something far darker, more suspenseful. How well do any of the friends really know each other? And who will survive the cut?


First Trailer Released For Paranormal Spin-Off “Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones”

The film is a spin-off of the successful paranormal franchise and stars Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, David Fernandez Jr., and Jorge Diaz. “PA: The Marked Ones” comes out January 3, 2014. There is no real plot details for the film.

First Poster Released For “Wolf Creek 2”

The first official poster has been released for Australian horror sequel “Wolf Creek 2”. The film marks the return of one of the most nail-biting, thrilling serial killer franchises in modern cinema. “Wolf Creek 2” also sees the return of director Greg McLean helming the project. The trailer will be unleashed online on October 21st. “Wolf Creek 2” stars John Jarratt, Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn and Phillipe Klaus. The film hits Australian theatres on February 20th 2014. No word on when a North American release will happen.

Lured by the promise of an Australian holiday, backpackers Rutger, Katarina, and Paul visit the notorious Wolf Creek Crater. Their dream Outback adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter the site’s most infamous local, the last man any traveler to the region ever wants to meet; Mick Taylor (John Jarratt).

As the backpackers flee, Mick pursues them on an epic white knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. Only one will remain to be dragged back to his lair to witness the true magnitude of his monstrosity. And if the last man standing is to have any hope of surviving where no one else has survived before, he’ll have to use every ounce of cunning to outwit the man behind the monster and become every bit as ruthless as the monster inside the man.

‘The Tomorrow People’ All New Tonight

thetomorrowpeople1Tonight is episode two for ‘The Tomorrow People’. “In Too Deep” airs at 9 pm on CW. Check out the preview and get ready for some family drama, filled with tears and ass kicking!

When Ultra tries to probe Stephen's (Robbie Amell) brain, he looks to his fellow Tomorrow People for help, but is rebuffed by an angry John (Luke Mitchell), leaving Cara (Peyton List) to go behind John's back to help Stephen.

 Meanwhile, Ultra tracks down the identity of a new break-out, who has been using his powers to commit crimes. Stephen tracks down the new break-out, but is shocked when an Ultra swat team is called in. At a loss for what to do, Stephen calls on John, Cara and Russell (Aaron Yoo) for help, leaving them with a risk of also getting caught. Upon learning of Ultra's evil motives, John tries to convince Stephen to spy on Ultra to help save other potential Tomorrow People, while still pursuing the answers he seeks about this father.

‘Revolution’ New Tonight With “Patriot Games”

Neville's (Giancarlo Espositio) manipulation of Patriot power brokers makes Machiavelli look like a cherub and Aaron's (Zak Orth) mind works overtime awake or asleep with mind-blowing effectiveness. Rachel and Miles begin planning a resistance to what they believe might be the Patriot occupation.

Oliver (Stephen Amell) finds out the medicine that is being sent to Glades Memorial is being hijacked by thieves.  Without an influx of supplies, the hospital will close.  Roy (Colton Haynes) attempts to stop the thieves, but he fails and is arrested by Officer Lance (Paul Blackthorne).  Oliver gets into a heated battle with China White (guest star Kelly Hu) and her new partner, Ben Turner, AKA the Bronze Tiger (guest star Michael Jai White), over the supplies.  Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) makes plans to catch the Arrow, and Thea (Willa Holland) gives Roy an ultimatum.

Release Details For “I Am ZoZo”

Release details have come out on horror film “I Am ZoZo”. The feature shot entirely on super 8 and directed by Scott Di Lalla will be available on DVD / VOD November 19th 2013. “I Am ZoZo” stars Kelly McLaren, Courtney Foxworthy, Demetrius Sager, Caleb DeBattista, Caleb Courtney and Darren Wayne Evans. The film is based on real experiences with an ancient and malevolent spirit called ZoZo that attaches itself to people exclusively through Ouija boards. “I Am ZoZo” was shot last fall on location on San Juan Island, WA and Seattle. First Clip Released For Horror Fan Devotion Documentary “Fantasm”

fantasmCheck out the first clip from fan produced horror fandom documentary “Fantasm”. The film is directed by Kyle Kuchta and Tom Atkins, Justin Beahm, Chris Behringer, Jack Bennett Lloyd Kaufman, Amanda Wyss, Heather Langenkamp and Rob Dimension as just a few of the horror community icons to be featured. The documentary will have its world premiere at Rock and Shock in Worcester, MA on October 19th. It also has screenings coming up at Philip H. Anselmo's Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, TX on October 25th, and at Rhode Island Comic Con in Providence, RI on November 3rd.

Now he's revisiting these conventions to learn why these gatherings are so important to horror fans.

First Image Appears For “The Pact 2”

The first image has appeared for “The Pact 2”,  giving us our first look into the sequel of 2012’s supernatural horror “The Pact”. Along with the image came word on a distribution deal for the film directed by Dallas Hallam and Patrick Horvath. IFC Midnight will be releasing this second act to the well received horror franchise. “The Pact 2” stars Camilla Luddington, Patrick Fischler, Scott Michael Foster, Haley Hudson, Mark Steger and Caity Lotz, who will be reprising her role from the first film.

Set just weeks after Annie Barlow's deadly confrontation with the Judas Killer. “The Pact 2” follows June, a woman whose carefully constructed life is beginning to unravel due to lucid nightmares so awful they disturb her waking life.


New Ominous Poster Tease For “Devil’s Due”

Horror news staple Bloody-Disgusting posted this ominous poster for supernatural horror “Devil’s Due”. The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. This supernatural horror film possesses theatres on January 17th, 2014 and stars Zach Gilford, Allison Miller, Robert Belushi, Kurt Krause. Also check out the trailer that was just released.

After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin.


“Patrick” Remake Gets North American Distribution Deal

patrickThe Aussie remake of cult classic thriller “Patrick” has landed a North American distribution deal. The film directed by Mark Hartley will be made available to U.S. and Canadian horror fans thanks to Phase 4 Films and Uncork’d Entertainment. “Patrick” stars Charles Dance, Rachel Griffiths, Sharni Vinson and Peta Sergeant. Phase 4 plans to release the thriller in early spring next year with a limited theatrical run and VOD.

After killing his mother and her lover some years before, Patrick is the comatose patient in Room 15 of a remote, private psychiatric clinic run by the secretive Dr. Roget, who treats him as guinea pig in his bizarre studies of life and death.

When Kathy, a nurse who has recently separated from her boyfriend, begins working at the clinic, she is instructed to care for Patrick. She is disturbed by Roget’s treatment of him and somehow feels that Patrick is trying to make a connection with her. When Kathy realizes that the lifeless murderer can communicate, she is shocked but compelled to prove her theory. Patrick has psychokinetic powers, which he uses to talk to Kathy by transferring his thoughts to her computer. As Patrick’s communication becomes stronger, strange and terrifying events begin to occur. Patrick has feelings for Kathy, and his affection is about to manifest itself as a deadly, bloody obsession.

All New ‘Supernatural’ Tonight On CW

supernatural-season-9-poster-deanTonight ‘Supernatural’ returns with episode two of season 9. “Devil May Care” : Dean (Jensen Ackles) shocks Sam (Jared Padalecki) by popping open the trunk of the Impala and showing him that he has kidnapped Crowley (Mark Sheppard). Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) freaks out when he sees the King of Hell, but Sam and Dean convince him that they need Crowley to find the demons on Earth. ‘The Originals’ Airs Tonight On CW

the-originals-posterEpisode 3, “Tangled In Blue” airs tonight on CW. The episode follows Klaus as he discovers interesting news about someone in Marcel's inner circle. Klaus along with Rebekah attempt to unravel Marcel's empire from within in spite of Elijah's concerns. They enlist help from Sophie, who is reluctant to get involved for fear of the wrath of Marcel's secret weapon, Davina. Rebekah sneakily invites an oblivious Cami to a huge vampire party thrown by Marcel, managing to anger Marcel in the process.

Elsewhere, Hayley learns from the witch Sabine that the supernatural creatures of New Orleans are reacting to the potential existence of a hybrid baby. Check out the promo and preview clip below along with some stills from the episode.
