“Kid In The Box”

The sequel to “The Last House In The Woods” . Gabriele Alanesi’s “Kid In The Box” just released teaser poster art.

“Zombie Massacre” Teaser Trailer

Probably the best teaser for a zombie apocalypse in like forever! Well at least since “The Horde” came out. The epic transformation of a human into a flesh eating monster is a beautiful thing in the mind of Uwe Boll. Combining the earlier cinematic fears given to us by our japanese counterparts where radiation and mutation is concerned and the vicious horror of a world over run by zombies in those final days of life on earth come together to make one hell of a ride for the genre!
A bacteriological weapon – developed by the US Government to create a super soldier – spreads an epidemic in a quiet little town in the middle of Eastern Europe, Roznov. All citiziens have been turned into infected zombies. The town is in quarantine, but the Government wants to destroy it
to avoid the propagation of the epidemic.
The rest of the world is in the dark about everything. The plan is: to bring an atomic bomb into the nuclear plant of the city to pretend a terrible accident. No one has to know the truth.
A commando of mercenaries is hired to do the mission. The leader is Jack Stone, an ex soldier now in jail to have murdered his brothers in arms during a mission. If he accomplish the mission he will be free. The battle is on. Hordes of monsters against a bunch of men. There is no hope.
Who will survive?”

‘The Innkeepers” Trailer

Spooky trailer for ghost story “The Innkeepers” has been released and teases some pretty scare-ific moments. The film will be VOD Dec. 30, 2011 and opens in theaters Feb. 3rd 2012.
After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees - Claire (Paxton) and Luke (Healy) - are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels. As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.

“The Ghostmaker” Art Poster

There is a new bogeyman coming our way and he has his sight set on the ones who should decide to play with death, of which today there seems to be a lot more running around. A guy finds a coffin in the basement of some old lady’s house and decides to take it for himself. He thinks it is worth money but the price on this antiquity is beyond priceless. The coffin is more like a machine that allows one to venture into the ghost world that opens just after death. The young boy and his friends decide to play around in this ethereal plane because, hey, who wouldn’t, right! However they soon learn that there is much more at stake than just stealing a family heirloom and teasing death.
Directed by Mauro Borrelli whose work can be seen in such films as “Pirates of the Caribbean” , “I Am Number Four” and “Sleepy Hollow”.

“The Lorax” Trailer

I grew up on Dr. Seuss as does nearly every kid around the world. It was the first book out side off those little school readers that I learned to read all by myself. Dr. Seuss was also the very first books I bought my nephew when he was born and the first books I ever read to him as a toddler. So even though there is nothing horror or dark about the mischievous adventures of the Dr. Seuss characters I am posting this anyway!
From the creators of "Despicable Me" and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax," an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

“ParaNorman” Teaser Trailer

On the heels of the teaser art release for the Aug. 2012 animated movie “ParaNorman” comes the release of a teaser trailer set to the song “Season Of The Witch” which is one of the coolest songs ever!
A small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches, and worst of all, moronic grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

“11-11-11” Trailer Released

A prophecy about a gateway that will open and unleash ungodly creations that will feed on innocence. Please pass the gravy! I love prophecy films and especially ones that deal with demonic forces and parallel dimensions. Unlike the prophecies that unravel the universe based on cosmic tic-toc’s biblical prophecies play on ancient fear that is bread more deeply in humanity than our love of food or our need to socialize in packs. “11-11-11” is a film that has garnered a lot of attention since its teaser art came out last fall. Before that I had never heard of this worldwide fear and obsession with this particular prophecy but since I have now every time I see the alarm clock or the microwave glow that ominous 11:11 I stop dead and catch my breath and think of this film and my new fear of demons ticking away at dimensional locks trying to pick their way in to our world and chow down!.
A horror-thriller set on 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month and concerning a entity from another world that enters the earthly realm through Heaven's 11th gate.

After the tragic death of his wife and child, famed American author Joseph Crone travels from the United States to Barcelona, Spain to reunite with his estranged brother Samuel and dying father, Richard. However, fate has a different plan for Joseph as his life becomes plagued with strange happenings, and the constant sightings of the number 11. Curiosity quickly turns to obsession, and Joseph soon realizes that this number holds a horrific meaning not only to himself but possibly to all of religion. Isolated in a foreign country with only the support of his companion, Sadie, Joseph soon realizes that 11/11/11 is more than just a date, it’s a WARNING!

“Zombie Blondes” Beautifully Undead!

According to Variety Smash Media Films nabbed Lior Chefetz and Joe Swanson to script the horror flick Zombie Blondes. Harry Winer and Shelley Hack will produce.
The film will be based on the book by the same title.
From the moment Hannah Sanders arrived in town, she felt there was something wrong. A lot of houses were for sale, and the town seemed infected by an unearthly quiet. And then, on Hannah’s first day of classes, she ran into a group of cheerleaders—the most popular girls in school.
The odd thing was that they were nearly identical in appearance: blonde, beautiful, and deathly pale. But Hannah wants desperately to fit in—regardless of what her friend Lukas is telling her: If she doesn’t watch her back, she’s going to be blonde and popular and dead—just like all the other zombies in this town....

‘Remains’ TV Series Soon

This show has garnered a lot of attention from just about everyone out there. It is a new zombie series based on a graphic novel. Steve Niles is awesome and “30 Days of Night” was a badass movie all around! I don’t make the mistake of comparing shows just because subject matter may seem similar. That just ruins the experience that is waiting to be enjoyed from a good story that is well written and true to the genre. I love everything about the ‘The Walking Dead’ but that is not gonna keep me from giving other zombie apocalypse shows a chance. No shows every live up to our faves of days gone by and I am still waiting for the next Vampire Slayer series to grab my heart the way Buffy did. Hasn’t happened yet and doubt that it ever will. Anyway give ‘Remains’ the chance and kudos it deserves.
When the world goes mad, a blackjack dealer and an exotic dancer are mysteriously spared. But now they’re trapped in Reno, surrounded by a veritable army of the undead – and with no idea what might wait for them beyond the city limits if they can escape. Are they the last man and woman on Earth? And if so, how long can they last?
Remains stars  Grant Bowler, Lance Reddick, Miko Hughes and Tawny Cypress. and will air on CHILLER on December 16th at 10pm.

‘Night Terrors’ New Anthology Series

An original production out of a love for horror ‘Night Terrors’ hopes and looks to give new blood to the horror anthologies we all grew up on long ago. Many have tried and most recently ‘Masters Of Horror’ nearly succeeded only to be cancelled. Now a small independent group has caught the buzz and attention from festivals and online and may just have the passion and guts it takes to make it happen. Check out the NSFW trailer for the new series .
In the tradition of Tales From The Crypt, writer/directors David Buchert and Chris St.Croix bring you the new anthology series, Night Terrors! The first two, 25 minute episodes are currently in post production for an end of the year debut. We are currently working out where the shows will launch but we'd love to hear where you'd like to see them. Let us know.
Night Terrors is produced independently with no outside financing.

The Watching By Paul Melniczek

A young girl witnesses something horrific from her bedroom window, a scene which snatches away her childhood innocence and replaces it with terror. Her life becomes a routine of desperation filled with shadows and darkness, void of any hope. Her home becomes her prison, her life an unending cycle of despair. And her nightmares are of the worst kind, ones which are not separated by the barrier between dream and reality.
"There's only a handful of young writers I will drop whatever I am doing to read...Paul Melniczek is one of them.  Atmospheric, lyrical storytelling at its best.  He always delivers."
