First zombie colons and now this!

First the Asian horror comedy market started with typical spoof stuff and then they went one step further with “Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead” and now they have gone into erotic horror comedy triple genre themes with “ Lust Of The Dead”. Not sure I like the direction or implication of the Asian fan base but never stop being amazed by there muses!.
Nuclear blast turns everyone into zombie rapists and its up to a band of sexy women to save the world and the female populations honor!

It seems like I have been waiting for this one for over a year now and finally there is new imagery for the creature feature. This film has had my attention ever since I first saw the pint of Guinness and the hint that the only way of surviving the event is to get really pissed! For that I am game! Plus it has my favorite wolfie from BBC’s ‘Being Human’! Check out the new image below…
“An idyllic remote Irish fishing village – replete with twinkly-eyed eccentric Waking Nedcharacters – is invaded by enormous tentacled creatures from the sea who are picking off the villagers one at a time. The inhabitants learn that the one thing the creatures don’t like is alcohol, it makes people taste horrible, so they realise that in order to stay alive, they’re going to have to get as pissed as possible.”

“The Incident” Trailer

“The Incident” is directed by Alexandre Courtes and is due out May 4 2012 through IFC Midnight.
After an institution is shut down due to horror and tragedy that befall some workers one day a group of paranormal investigators go back in with the intention to find out what really happened. They soon discover that some cases should remain shut.

New Image from “The Hobbit”

“The Hobbit” is Bilbo Baggins journey that takes him through dangerous and unknown lands that actually led him to the ring that the “Lord of the Ring” trilogy was about. This happens way before Frodo but apparently they found a way to work him in a flash forward scenario. Anyway here is a new image from “The Hobbit”.

“ATM” Trailer Online

3 friends hit the ATM late at night after an office party and are soon terrorized by a psychotic in a parka .

Remake of 2012’S “Silent House”

I swear I just watched this 2 nights ago on either IFC or Shotime Latin! Anyway this is an American redo of the film much how we seem to fuck with a lot of shit other countries put out but apparently we are too stupid to relate to culturally so we do it over. I didn’t think that this movie should be redone I quite enjoyed it subtitled. The intensity was sooo much –hhuuuhh! Anyway I stayed tense the whole time I watched!
Anyway the original was by Gustavo Hernández and released in 2010. Below is the trailer for the American redo for 2012!
Sarah is a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family’s secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house.

“Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter” Image

Abraham Lincoln has been very popular these last several months. Actually for about 2 years now with everything historical that has come out and over a year ago whispers of a movie based on a new trend in horror, the fusion of pop culture with historical literature that has given rise not only to Abe the Vamp Slayer but also a coming soon Zombie romp around Pride and Prejudice. I like this blend it is almost a V8 moment for the horror genre. You just think that it should have already been done before. At least outside of Cartoon Network that is.
Anyway there is a low budget Abe Lincoln Vampire film and then this bigger budget film due out June 22, 2012. Finally after on again off again rumors and writer director changes the guys behind “Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter” have gotten to work doing what they promised us. An educational fictionalized vamp slayer flick. Check out the new image from the studio…
“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.”

‘The River’

This show has me very confused and intrigued. What can it possibly be about? The possibilites are endless and I keep going over all the things that have come out of the Amazon and are still there to be discovered. Not to me it as a magical element to it so I am thinking it is kinda like Land Of The lost but with witch doctors and poisonous bugs instead of a wicked with and little people. Then I think that that could only go so far so maybe it is an amalgamation of every south american myth and legend about creation and mystical lands all rolled into one show. So each week could either be very mind boggling or deeply confusing.
Definitely gonna dvr a few episodes to check it out. I think that day and time slot is already committed to few other shows so I can’t watch it right off!
The creators of Paranormal Activity join forces with DreamWorks and Michael Green (Heroes, Kings) for a riveting new thriller that takes you deep into the unknown, where the only thing darker than family secrets is the mystery at the heart of the Amazon – mystery that may just have you believe there's magic out there.
Famed explorer Dr. Emmet Cole (Bruce Greenwood) went looking for magic deep in the uncharted Amazon and never returned. Now, the shocking truth about his disappearance is out there, somewhere, just waiting to be discovered. To the millions of kids who grew up watching his nature show, Dr. Cole was a hero. To his own son Lincoln (Joe Anderson), he was more of an enigma. Now, six months after he vanished, Lincoln is finally ready to bury the past when Dr. Cole's cagey ex-producer Clark (Paul Blackthorne) film the mission documentary-style. The mixed crew of old friends and new acquaintances includes the sexy and resourceful Lena (Eloise Mumford), loyal mechanic Emilio (Daniel Zacapa) and lethal bodyguard Captain Kurt Brynildson (Thomas Kretschmann).
Once they find The Magus, the real adventure begins. In the search for Dr. Cole, they will encounter a scary new mystery each week, while struggling with their own personal jealousies, insecurities, secrets and desires. As they venture further into the Amazon, away from the world they know, the crew of The Magus will discover a place where one bad decision can be fatal, and where powerful magic is as real as science.

My Review Of “Fall Down Dead”

    The synopsis is this:

In a big American city, the serial killer The Picasso Killer is terrorizing the dwellers and the police department does not have lead to find him. The bartender Christie Wallace dreams on moving to the countryside with her six year-old daughter Zoe to have a peaceful life far from the violence of the city. Late night of Christmas Eve, Christie leaves the Tides Bar where she works and walks back home. In an alley, she sees a woman dying covered on blood and The Picasso Killer sees Christie and chases her. She runs to a commercial building where the night watchman Wade is reluctant to open the door and does not give credit to Christie. She calls the police and Detectives Stefan Kerchek and Lawrence Kellog attend the call. When Christie tells that she can recognize the infamous serial-killer, there is a blackout, the phones are dead and the detectives cannot call the precinct. They lock the building waiting for reinforcement but sooner they find that The Picasso Killer has broken in the building and their lives are in danger.

The other night I could not get sleepy! No matter how many boring infomercials I watched or sedatives I took I just could not get my mind and eyes to the point of groggy. Luckily I pay a ridiculous price for cable and receive on demand as well for over exaggerated premium channels. The one upside to these little additives of life are the off chance that something I have not seen may cross by the screen. Well lo and behold finely after what seemed like hours of surfing I found something that intrigued me. “Fall Down Dead” – a movie about a serial killer who found artistic vision in carving and displaying beautiful women in an attempt to create his masterpiece and life’s achievement.

I only recognized one person in this film- well two actually. David Carradine  and Udo Kier. Now Udo is like awesome to me because he played my all time favorite vamp in Andy Warhol's “Dracula”. I can still close my eyes and see him fall to the floor jerking and writhing while trying to lick up virgin blood from the floor of a french chateau.

This film – “Fall Down Dead” was actually pretty good. The characters were not exaggerated nor over written. Sometimes they can come off cartoonish or not so believable. David Carradine did somewhat but luckily his characters presence was short. The heroin played by Dominique Araine, who is a single mother living with her young daughter and a female roommate accidentally walks up on one of the Picasso Killers scenes while he is still doing his thing. He immediately sees her as the woman of his true inspiration and chases her into an office building during the city’s rolling blackouts. She has it rough! First a bum she gives coffee too because it is Christmas Eve and she fills sorry for him tries to steal her purse after she gets off work then a serial killer takes a liking to her and hunts her down.

Now this would make a perfect Christmas film for future holidays because it does happen on Christmas Eve. Anyway, lady has to fight for her life because the killer gets into the building with her, two cops that were supposed to be on a drug bust but decided to call it a night when the call came in about a killing, the security guard played by Carradine-who is like the worlds oldest slacker rent a cop, and three employees of the buildings business.

So one by one the killer without much ado or dialog takes out the sheeple . The deaths are gory and in your face. The Picasso Killer is only artistic when it comes to his muses in this pic. The others just get slash-o-rama treatment familiar in any horror film. This film is a great slasher and serial killer style flick reminiscent of many 80’s styled films like “New York Ripper”. This film is a good thriller based film with descent acting and slasher styled gore so I say watch it and enjoy!

    Something To Look Forward To…

Brian Keene’s Ghoul won the Bram Stoker Award and now can be seen on the screen a Chiller original premiering at Slamdance Festival Jan. 22,2012. I am more anticipating his zombie series which has yet to be released The Last Zombie : Inferno the follow up to The Last Zombie. It is on pre order now but I just really can’t wait to read this book. Ghoul was great and hope the film adaptation does not disappoint.
In the dead of winter, The Last Zombie: Inferno picks up where The Last Zombie left off, as Doctor Ian Scott and his team of soldiers and scientists make their way across the wastelands of a post-zombie apocalyptic America. Infected with the virus that caused the zombie outbreak, Ian struggles to stay alive long enough to see his wife again. As if that wasn''t enough, the team finds themselves caught between a raging, state-wide wildfire and the radioactive destruction of a nuclear reactor meltdown.

Depressions Of The Soul: A Collection Of Dark Poetry

The Past No Longer Haunts Me...
The past no longer haunts me,
There is nothing more it can do,
No flickering images leaving their seed,
Growing into some sense of doom,
Gone are the memories I once feared,
Of unforgiveable pain toward those I loved,
Malicious actions that ended in tears,
With no remorse nor belief in trust,
Now there is a relaxing sense of peace,
A calmness that has settled in,
I finally feel a sigh of relief,
At long last the healing can begin.

    Bryan Wolford’s “Myctophobia”

Myctophobia Begins Fundraising And Preproduction Freakwolf Productions is happy to announce thattheir upcoming short film Myctophobia begins production in February as part of the short film compilation The Collective Volume 4. The theme of all the films on The Collective Volume 4 is emotions. Writer/Director Bryan Wolford was given Fear and while researching different phobias Bryan settled on Myctophobia which is labeled as a Fear of Darkness.
He then crafted a story about Kelly who has a fear of the dark and while at home by herself the lights go out. She soon finds herself bombarded by sights and sounds that only strengthen her fear of the dark. Is all of it really happening or only in her head? The Collective Volume 4 is scheduled to premiere at the Days Of The Dead convention ( on July 6th -July 8th in Indianapolis, Indiana. With Myctophobia we want to bring a great atmospheric story to your screen. Sure blood and guts are fun sometimes but we want our viewers to feel Kelly's dread in their stomachs. We will prove that you don't need a big budget to produce big scares. We want to bring that fear of darkness to life in front of your eyes and make you start to worry when you shut your lights off at night that you get a small pit in your stomach and try to convince yourself that the noise you just heard was only the cat in the living room. Wait . . . do you even have a cat?
The project is currently fund raising through Indie Go Go in the hopes of raising a small amount
of money to make sure the cast and crew gets a little pocket change out of the experience and to help pay for some special effects for the film. All of the filming with be done over a weekend in late February thus keeping the costs low. Anyone can donate to the project through the Indie Go Go page and receive incentives like signed copies of The Collective Volume 4, an invite to the cast and crew screening, and a cast and crew exclusive t-shirt. Info for donations can be found at IndieGoGo.Com/Myctophobia.
The main character of Kelly will be played by Kitsie Duncan. Kitsie has
gained a dedicated following in the Indiana horror scene as a scream queen in
numerous horror films and helps her husband Chris Jay in a producer role for
their production company Darkrider Studios ( which
produces their own films as well as providing multiple media services. She was
a producer and actress in the film Lethal Obsession which has made the rounds at
horror film festivals and horror conventions across the country.

Yeah for the UK… A “Ouija” movie that is actually scary!

I was so excited about the notion of a scary movie about the ouija board back when I heard that Universal was doing a film about the ghost board until I heard it was going to be more like Indiana Jones than Amityville Horror. So I tuned out quickly and the last I read was about it being scrapped because of budget. It serves them right! I don’t even know if it is being picked back up or not!

But anyway thanks to the guys across the pond there is a new “Ouiji” on the playground and it will be scary (hopefully). At least it will be a horror genre film.
“Ouija involves a group of nine friends planning a one night camping trip deep in the woods. Alcohol in hand and ready for a night of partying. One of the group has other ideas, perfect timing as they begin to get the part started nothing like a good old scare, the ghost stories begin. Out comes the Ouija board a few arguments and convincing the group start playing the ouija board.
One of the group thinks it would be a great idea to ask ‘When is everybody going to die’ while drunk. The group quit in fright abandoning the board. Panic across their faces the board is flung deep in the woods and the party carries on. Only to be caught on video camera the board spelling on its own ‘TONIGHT’ Little do the group know a portal has opened and a series of demons are unleashed stalking the camp one by one killing them off in the most gruesome way.”

    “Speckles The Tarborsaurus”

And now a cute and cuddly moment from our Korean friends about family and love and one- eyed tyrannosaurus …
70 million years ago dinosaurs ruled the Korean Peninsula the same way they ruled the rest of the earth. At that time the part of the land now known as Jeonnam Yeosu was the forest habitat of numerous dinosaur species: Tarbosaurus.
The youngest of a family of Tarbosaurs, Spotty is a curious and playful child. Along with his mother and siblings, he lives happily in the forest, waiting patiently to learn to hunt. When that day arrives, it marks the beginning of a long and painful journey into adulthood for Spotty.
The cunning One-eye, an older Tyrannosaur looking for a new home, attacks Spotty’s herd one day and, smelling sure victory, viciously tears Spotty’s family away from him. Now on his own, he meets up with another lonely, lost Tarbosaur. Blue Eyes becomes his constant companion for two decades and the mother of his own children.
But fate is fickle and Spotty’s troubles with One-eye are not over, and revenge, death, fear, and sadness are all in Spotty’s future–as is happiness and hope.
“Speckles the Tarbosaurus” opens in South Korean theaters on January 26th, 2012

“The Reverend”–How excited am I about this film!

I love priests! the collars, the cloth, the regimental lifestyle and the conviction of their faith all are intriguing and almost mystically hypnotic to me. I have had many a fantasy and nightmare about these creatures and the mythical power they seem to possess, and I’m not even catholic or christian for that matter!. I just find them kind of erotic. They have so many character traits that I find both alluring and illusive in myself that I have somehow projected my attraction to these things that I fear, loathe and in some twisted way admire. Anyway there is a long reoccurring fantasy that I will omit from this rambling segment.  Now back to the point of this post.
“The Reverend” has taken all those traits that I find fascinating in the preacher man and added the ribbed for your pleasure enhancement of vampirism. Much like Angel in the Buffy-verse this preacher finds no pleasure of joy in his situation and seeks to right the wrongs of the evil doers and bring some justice to the world of darkness he now finds him self in. I just hope the film holds true to my excitement and anticipations, plus gives justice to the graphic novel from wince it came.
Who wouldn’t enjoy a movie with both Rutger Hauer and Doug Bradly! Anyway “The Reverend” has posted a couple new photos and along with the website and trailer plus the loads of other stuff that has been released this past season there should be enough to hold me over until I get to see this one. It opens in UK February 3rd, 2012.
“Fresh from seminary school, a new Reverend embarks on his first parish: A small, low-maintenance chapel based in the idyllic setting of a quiet country village. While on the surface the village seems to be a peaceful parish, with perfect residents, soon it becomes apparent that something more sinister lurks beneath the façade of a local businessman. On a wet, cold night, a mysterious girl visits the Reverend at the chapel. She is welcomed in warmly, but soon it becomes apparent that her visit is not for sanctuary but to deliver a message, a message in the form of a deep, bloody bite... Awoken with an unknown, uncontrollable thirst, the confused Reverend can't find any evidence of the girl from the night before. With nothing but his thirst and memory of the bite, the Reverend embarks on a mandate to clean up the village and the neighboring preaching or feasting.”

Jessica Parker Kennedy and Natasha Henstridge also star. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by David Ehrman.

TIn Scandinavian folklore, the Huldra (in Norwegian culture, derived from a root meaning "covered" or "secret"), or the skogsrå or skogsfru/skovfrue (meaning "Lady (read, counterpart of a Lord) of the forest") or Tallemaja (pine tree Mary) in Swedish culture, is a seductive forest creature. Her name suggests that she is originally the same being as the völva Huld and the German Holda.[1] A male hulder is called a huldu, or in Norway a huldrekallhe huldra is one of several (keeper, warden), including the aquatic Sjörå (or havsfru), later identified with a mermaid, and the bergsrå in caves and mines who made life tough for the poor miners.
Associated with Christianity, a tale recounts how Eve had washed only half of her children when God came to her cottage; ashamed of the dirty ones, she hid them. God decreed that those she had hidden from him would be hidden from mankind; they became the huldrer. the folklore goes.

    “ 3 Solitude”

“A high energy action packed character driven piece” according to Jesse Kozel in an interview about 1217’s psychological thriller that is seen as a very ambitious film. “3 Solitude” is currently in pre-production and has a big cast so far…Peter Greene (Pulp Fiction), Vernon Wells (Mad Max: Road Worrier), Ann Walker (Sordid Lives), Debbie Rochon (Colour From the Dark), Jason James Richter (Free Willy), Natacha Itzel (Swamp Shark), Jesse Kozel (Candy.), Yvonne Maria Schaefer (The Child), Deneen Melody (Crestfallen) and Connor Fox (Ice Grill, U.S.A.) are all attached to star and with more to be announced later.
Cora O’Sullivan is the mother of two young children.  When Cora turns her internal rage into vengeful aggression towards her eldest son Joseph, both children are subjected to the death of their mother during a violent storm.  This moment is cemented in the children’s minds, forcing Joseph too mentally breakdown and his sister Anna, into a psychological state of shock, causing her to forget her entire childhood.  The two children are separated; Joseph is raised in an insane asylum, while Anna is raised by a family not far away.  They grow up apart but are psychically connected and haunted by images of their Mother and grow up in fear.
Now an adult, Anna lives her life as normal as possible with the help of a psychologist.  Her daughter, Alyssa, is about to be married.  Before the wedding is to take place, information of a severe storm churning in the Gulf, threatens to stop the event.  Family and friends are prepared to ride out the storm but they do not realize this mere storm is about to escalate into one of the worst hurricanes in history.  The group becomes trapped, fearful of the storm wreaking havoc on the small coastal town.  The violent nature of this storm triggers a stronger psychological connection between Anna and Joseph, leaving them both emotionally disconnected from their surroundings.
After years of medical treatment, Joseph has little memory of his sister.  He lives in constant fear, while visions of his mother appear to him often.  These shocking visions send him into fits of rage that require restraint and continued sedation.  With the city under a severe hurricane warning, a mandatory transport of all patients from the asylum is ordered.  A terrible accident takes place, sending three mentally damaged patients loose; one of them is Joseph O’Sullivan.  The town’s sheriff is on the hunt for these men, while trying to keep this quaint, coastal town from falling prey to nature’s wrath.

Escape From Zombie City by Ray Wallace

Remember those “choose your own adventure” books most of us read as a kid? Well here is one with zombie!
You are one of the last survivors in a city overrun by the walking dead. The news reports say it's the result of a government experiment gone wrong, and advise citizens to remain indoors to wait for aid. But you're not getting any safer, and you'd be wise to get out of town while you can.
The zombies aren't your only concern, however.
Thieves, cults, roadblocks, gun-nut survivors, and military defenses are just some of what you'll have to deal with as you make your escape. It's the one little thing you don't expect, one wrong turn, one bad decision that will get you killed.
