Elvira Returns!
Production Begins Immediately on Slate of 26 Films to Air, With Premiere Set for Weekend of September 25 Throughout U.S. in National Syndication and on THIS! Television Network.
Who would have imagined back in 1981 that the hostess of a local Hollywood horror movie show would grow to become a household name? Elvira was the first horror host ever to be syndicated nationally, and the Mistress of the Dark has remained one of the most original and outrageous characters in popular culture today. This fall, she returns to national syndication with 26 horror movies, accompanied by her one-of-a-kind commentary. B-movie actors and directors beware, because nothing escapes the keen eye and sharp tongue of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Anne Rice, no longer Christian...
Anne Rice has had a religious conversion: She's no longer a Christian.
The 68-year-old author wrote Wednesday on her Facebook page that she refuses to be "anti-gay … anti-feminist" and "anti-artificial birth control."
She added that "In the name of … Christ, I quit Christianity and being Christian. Amen."
Her publisher, Alfred A. Knopf, confirmed Thursday that the posting was by Rice.
Rice is best known for "Interview With a Vampire" and other gothic novels. Raised as a Catholic, she had rejected the church early in her life, but renewed her faith in recent years and in 2008 released the memoir "Called Out of Darkness: A Spiritual Confession."

Personally I never knew she was a Christian, but I guess if I would have read her bio all those years of reading her novels then I would have known that. Kudos to Anne Rice!...

Watching Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday
Jason Goes to Hell was one of the most controversial Friday's made. First they tried to bring him from local legend into the mainstream of all America by having a mock news agency do a piece on him. They also tried to explain his ability to continue coming back by bring in the Book Of The Dead, and also gave him a family tree by introducing a sister, kinda like Michael had...
That aside the story was tight, fluid, and to me seemed believable in the realm of the occult and supernatural extremes.
The scene was set right out the gate with a lady FBI agent hanging out at Camp Crystal Lake to lure Jason, which works....
Then after being led into an ambush the FBI being the bad ass guys they claim to be fired away and blew the shit out of Jason...
The pieces are scattered all over the open field...
Observed by Duke the guy who knows everything about Jason and the rest of the Voorhees family...
The heart is still alive, which is the source of Jason"s power. It hypnotizes the Coroner and Jason lives once more forever hopping from doomed victim to doomed victim...
And now the killing continues...
From this stage in the movie the story follows Duke and his connection to the Voorhees family while being interviewed by a talk show host who is also dating Diana's daughter, Jason's sisters'.
Diana, who happens to be watching the program becomes panicked to learn that Jason was not killed by the FBI, and is still on the loose...
Duke introduces himself to Diana and causes her to become even more frightened. Now I found his character a bit over bearing and demanding. It was hard for me to warm up to him through the whole movie, but I guess a profit seeking bounty hunter who specializes on the undead serial killers of the whole isn't really a people person...
And of course no Friday movie would be complete without campers out in the woods having sex...
So while they are out in the woods doing their thing Jason is about to remind them why they should never believe what they hear in the news ...
This is one of the best Jason kills of all time...next to the earlier movie that it pays homage to where he slits the guy down the middle...
Never spend too much time in a poorly lit parking lot no matter where your at or who is with you...
Jason jumps into a new body as the old one begins to wear out...
From this point on the massacre just increases and the kills are intense...
They bring in the big house and the book of the dead to tie in the family and the occult which explains how Jason is able to keep coming back and why he stays near Crystal Lake...
Jason jumps again and we learn the gruesome fate of the old body...
Now in his new body he heads after his kin so he can become reborn...
The machete finally makes it to the party...
Jason is finally reborn...
Family kills family...
Jason finally goes to hell...
And this is the moment that starts countless years of fans begging for a Freddy vs Jason movie...and we finally got one...yeah...
