4 New Posters for "The Reef"

Kate, her brother Matt and his girlfriend Suzie arrive at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia to meet up with Kate’s ex-lover Luke. Luke and his friend Warren deliver boats round the world for a living. Luke’s offered to take his three friends sailing for a week on a boat he has to deliver to Indonesia. On the water Kate and Luke’s relationship starts to reignite but it’s fraught with old conflicts. Dawn, the next day. Suddenly the boat flips. There is a frantic struggle to save themselves and get on to the overturned hull. On top of the hull they see that the keel has been ripped away.
Assessing the situation Luke decides their best chance for survival is to swim for a nearby island. Should they swim or should they stay? One of them refuses to go whilst the other four decide to try and make the island. As they swim they become aware that they are being stalked by a huge shark. Based on true events, THE REEF is a tense survival thriller that begs the question, what would I do in this situation?

5 "Immortals" Image Posters

As a power-mad king razes ancient Greece in search of a legendary weapon, a heroic young villager rises up against him in a thrilling quest as timeless as it is powerful.
The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world. With ruthless efficiency, Hyperion and his legions destroy everything in their wake, and it seems nothing will stop the evil king’s mission.

As village after village is obliterated, a stonemason named Theseus (Henry Cavill) vows to avenge the death of his mother in one of Hyperion’s raids. When Theseus meets the Sybelline Oracle, Phaedra (Freida Pinto), her disturbing visions of the young man’s future convince her that he is the key to stopping the destruction. With her help, Theseus assembles a small band of followers and embraces his destiny in a final desperate battle for the future of humanity.

Italian Film "Shadow" to be distributed under FrightFest Features

FrightFest has teamed up with Wild Bunch Distribution and E1 Entertainment to form FrightFest Features. They will distribute films that western markets normally would not get the chance to see.

Among those titles is Italian feature "Shadow".

Synopsis: “Returning from a devastating tour of duty in Iran, David (Jake Muxworthy) decides to go on a mountain-biking adventure in the Alps to put his horrific memories of war behind him. High in the Alpine forest he meets pretty young Angeline (Karina Testa) and together they explore their idyllic surroundings. They discover a local legend about a lost Nazi experiment camp – a discovery that will force David to endure horrors more terrifying than anything he encountered on the battlefield. He will come face-to-face with the bloodthirsty butcher Mortis (Nuot Arquint) and learn that reality is far sicker, far gorier and far deadlier than any nightmare imaginable.”

Jenna Jameson in "Island of the Damned"

Blic Online is reporting that Jenna may be joining Ken Foree, who'll be reprising his role as Agent Mortimer Reyes in the sequel to the Serbian zombie fest Zone of the Dead, which is now being called Island of the Damned instead of Wrath of the Dead.

In the movie Agent Reyes is called to the Indonesian island of Bawean to rescue "porn divas" from the walking dead. As with the first film, there is of course some kind of Communist conspiracy going on that has caused the rise of the flesh-eating fiends.

"Zone of the Dead" was a great zombie flick that drew from both the fast and viciousness of the undead from films like "28 Days later " and also showed alittle of the same homage to Romero's "Diary of the Dead". It had great action scenes and the zombies wear top notch f/x. The story was solid. One of the best foreign zombie flicks I have seen and since it was in english and not subtitled (at least the copy I saw)  It is one for my collection. So with that said ...I can't wait for this one to come out...

New Indie "Spawn" Movie?

Todd McFarlane recently told MyDVDInsider that he intended for a smaller independent "Spawn" movie...

So finally after what seems like twenty years of waiting for one and constantly wondering why no one has made a sequel or any film that featured Spawn , my bitching and pissing about wanting another "Spawn" movie to covet is closer to realization!

Check out the Q&A over at MyDVDInsider.
