O.k for me horror films have four different distinct subjects of evil that bring to life the story’s nightmare. One is the bogeyman (Freddy Krueger, the Creeper man, the clown from It), two is the supernatural(vampires, witches, werewolves and ghosts), three is the slasher (Jason, Michael, Crowley), and the fourth for me are demons. Yes you could argue that demons are supernatural or a type of bogeyman but you could also argue that slashers are bogeyman or demonic entities. My point in keeping demons as creatures separate and equal is because it requires more than one other evil to create the energy that brings them out in a nightmare scene. Usually a culmination of a mixture of evil binds together and gives life to a demonic entity. A spell by dark witches or drunk kids, a slasher that has killed so often that his spirit has grew to become a demon, or a completely fictional urban legend that gains so much superstition that it attracts a demon that takes on the façade of bogeyman. Below is a list of 10 really cool movies were demon is the subject of terror….
