Satanic Sundays! Six Flicks That Show Evil Rocks!




It is Satanic Sundays! Sunday and time to highlight six films that celebrate the darker side of life and lore. These films to check out prove that evil rocks! They rock all night slay all day in an effort to spread some rock’n’roll horror into our lives.

1. Trick or Treat (1986)

Sammi Curr was a famous, devil-worshiping rock star who died under mysterious circumstances. Now he wants to come back to life. Doing so requires possessing radio wave & automobiles and making a few human sacrifices. The film is directed by Charles Martin Smith and stars Marc Price, Tony Fields, Lisa Orgolini, Gene Simmons, Doug Savant and Ozzy Osbourne.






2. Rock ‘n’ Roll Nightmare (1987)

At an old farmhouse, a family mysteriously disappears at the hands of evil. Years later, hair metal band The Tritons comes to the farmhouse, whose barn now features a 24-track recording studio. Lead singer John Triton gets the band to perform their first night in the farmhouse after dinner, and weird little beasties suddenly appear, and strange things start to happen. Band members (and their tag along girlfriends) begin to act strangely and vanish one by one. Soon, only John Triton remains, and he holds a secret. Finally, the evil shows itself and a battle between heaven and hell ensues. The film is directed by John Fasano and stars Jon Mikl Thor, Jillian Peri, Frank Dietz and David Lane.


3. Rockin’ With Satan (2002)

One day, after school the two boys discover an ancient text that they unwittingly use to summon up from hell, the evil demon of heavy metal music, Radical-Z! Radical-Z tempts the two boys to play his demonic, anarchy-inspiring music that is aimed at the destruction of America's social fabric. After first being wooed, the two boys eventually realize his plot, but is it too late to save the world from the terrible damage that has already been done? Will Radical-Z and his army of mad rockers take over America? Directed by Adam Starr, Justin Karoway-Waterhouse and Jared Starr. The film stars Jared Starr, Justin Karoway-Waterhouse, Johanna Collado, Kal "Skip" Dylan, Devin Ruddick and Stephen Dennis.


4. Black Roses (1988)

A new rock-n-roll band plays at a sleepy town called Mill Basin, causing the town's kids to turn into rockers. However, what the town doesn't know is that the band is also turning kids into demonic monsters. The soundtrack features many prominent bands at the time such as King Kobra, Tempest, Hallow's Eve, Lizzy Borden, among others. Most of the music for the band "Black Roses" was performed by the members of King Kobra, with Mark Free on vocals, and Carmine Appice on drums. Directed by John Fasano and starring John Martin, Ken Swofford, Sal Viviano and Julie Adams.



5. Shock ‘Em Dead (1991)

Martin is a total loser, who nobody cares for. When he fails to get a position as guitar player in Lindsay's band and loses his job on the way, he makes a deal with a Voodoo priestess. She promises him the fulfillment of all his dreams if he swears obedience to her. He becomes a rock star and has many women - but to stay alive, he has to kill other people. Directed by Mark Freed the film stars Traci Lords, Troy Donahue, Aldo Ray and Stephen Quadros.





6. Rocktober Blood (1984)

Rock star Billy Eye (Tray Loren) loses his sanity and kills his colleagues at a recording studio. Billy is tried, found guilty and executed. The woman who testified against him at his murder trial is a successful singer with a group called Rocktober Blood. Two years have gone by, and just when she thinks the horror of the murder case is dead and buried, someone that looks a lot like Billy starts to terrorize her. Directed by Beverly Sebastian and starring Tray Loren, Donna Scoggins, Cana Cockrell and Renee Hubbard.
