Nuon Films And Blue Muse Entertainment Begin Filming Supernatural Thriller "Voices"
On November 26th, Nuon Films and Blue Muse Entertainment began filming a supernatural thriller titled ‘Voices’ in Mobile, Alabama. The movie is helmed by Emmy Award winning director Nathaniel Nuon (Paralyzed, Residue) and stars Valerie Jane Parker (The Dust Storm), Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism, Carnage Park), Jordan Ladd (Cabin Fever, Death Proof), Leslie Easterbrook (Police Academy, The Devil’s Rejects), and Double-Platinum Country Music Artist Tracy Lawrence. The film is produced by Nuon and long time collaborators, Michael A. Green and Charles Phanthapannha. Executive producers are Brad Custred of Blue Muse Entertainment, Chris DeBlasio and Jonathan Kelly of 850 Entertainment.
“I wanted to make a film with the visually impaired in mind. The audio description is written in the script, so it would be an equally enjoyable experience for those who can see and those who can’t,” said Nuon. Voices is slated for an 2019 release.
After visiting her father’s grave, Lilly and her mother are involved in a terrible car accident that leaves Lilly orphaned and unable to see. In her youth, she struggles with blindness and begins to hear voices, unbeknownst to her, that don’t belong to the living. Learning to cope with it all, Lilly is now an adult and happily married with a baby on the way. Soon, Lilly discovers her unborn baby has become a second chance for those souls stuck in limbo to be reborn, but she only has until the baby’s first heartbeat to decide which soul, The voices she heard in her youth return in full force and frequency. Through the voices, she befriends the spirit of a little girl tied to a cold case from years ago. Lilly finds herself having to fight against the girl’s murderers as well as the souls vying to be born again.
