The first anthology book exclusively from HorrorSociety.com has been released.
After a world wide call for entries, the award winning website owned by Mitchell D. Wells received over 114 original short stories from authors far and wide. The final ten stories were selected after a series of rounds designed to pinpoint the best stories. Fans of ghosts, zombies, the war between vampires and werewolves, wrathful wildlife, supernatural illnesses/unexplained impulses, aliens, aquatic adventures, and end of the world scenarios will all find something to enjoy in Horror Society Stories: Volume 1.
Horror Society contributor Michael DeFellipo was put in charge of producing the book, and would eventually release the project under his own production company, Shillow Productions. This is what he had to say, “Putting out the book is a big achievement for all of us at the site. It’s the first step in making Horror Society more than just a website. I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the entries we received, but the top ten really were the best in the bunch. Most of them I knew would be at the top of my list from the get-go. I think horror fans will scoop this up because it has a little bit of everything. It’s the perfect Christmas gift for any horror reader.”
Short stories in Horror Society Stories: Volume 1 include “Loaf Divine” by Canaan Frank, “Dead Ringers” by David Blackthorn, “A Vampire Walks Into A Bar” by Aaron Ray Ballard, “Jump $20” by Marc E. Fitch, “My Lover, My Garden” by Erik Gustafson, “The Invisible Enemy” by Bryan Cassiday, “The Lunch Pail” by W. B. Stickel, “The Specimen” by Angela Pritchett, “Hair and Teeth” by Katie Jones, and “Dogs Want To Eat You” by Ralph Robert Moore. A bonus story by the cover artist, Manny Serrano, is also featured in the book.
Barbie Wilde – celebrated author of The Venus Complex and Hellraiser II actress – calls the book, “A tasty cocktail of horror that will keep you glued to the page.”
