Satanic Sundays–Six Sin Filled Satanic Films For Sunday

Today is Sunday. So to celebrate this spiritually charged day I have picked out six cinematic gems of modern time that have a satanic theme. Enjoy these depraved, demonic stories and remember who’s day it really is.










First movie is 2010’s “Hard Ride To Hell” by Penelope Buitenhuis .



A group of family and friends on a camping trip through the Texas badlands are taken on a one-way ride to Hell after they inadvertently witness a ritual sacrifice at a deserted campsite. Pursued by the devil worshiping biker gang responsible, they hole up in an abandoned church near the border, only to discover that they are pawns in a decades-old battle between good and evil.












My second pick for this Satanic Sunday is 2000’s “Ricky 6” by Peter Filardi.


Based on the true story of drugs, satanism, and murder in the upper class town of Northport, Long Island in 1984.

















My third selection is 2006’s “5ive Girls” by Warren P. Sonoda.


Five wayward teenage girls are sent to a reformatory and discover they possess unique powers to battle the ancient demon, Legion, which holds thrall over the sinister institution.
















For my number four pick I am choosing 2000’s “Lost Souls” by Janusz Kaminski.


A small group of Catholics led by an ailing priest believe that Satan intends to become man, just as God did in the person of Jesus. The writings of a possessed mental patient lead them to Peter Kelson, a writer who studies serial killers. They think it's his body Satan will occupy. The youngest in the group, a teacher named Maya Larkin, goes to Peter to investigate further and to convince him to believe in the possibility of Evil incarnate. Other signs come to him as he and Maya them take a journey full of strange occurrences, self-discovery, and an ultimate showdown.




My fifth satanic pick for today is 2009’s “House Of The Devil” by Ti West.


In the 1980s, college student Samantha Hughes takes a strange babysitting job that coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly realizes her clients harbor a terrifying secret; they plan to use her in a satanic ritual.














And for my sixth and final film on this Satanic Sunday to fill your soul with deliciously sinful sights is 2010’s “The Shrine” by Jon Knautz.


A group of young journalists investigate a cult said to practice human sacrifice, but their ambitious ways may lead them to becoming the cult's next victims.
