“Death Rot” is a horror project from Dominic Weineke’s screenplay. The
screenplay was a quarter finalist in the 2012 Scriptapalooza screenwriting
competition. The film has been in pre-production and now news has come out that
they will begin full production in July and hopes to wrap up by September.
“Death Rot” is about a heavy metal band on a world tour. They break down in the
middle of nowhere and run into a clan of religiously fanatical brothers that
have a specialized meat diet. The film will utilize a local cast and crew with
Dr. Death FX handling practical special effects on the film. The cool thing
about this super low budget project is their dedication to use as little digital
effects as possible allowing for a more classic organic feel associated more
with early 80’s slasher movies than modern gore flicks. This is a very
