A cool new horror/thriller titled “Another Kind” is preparing for released on VOD shortly. The film is directed by Jonathan Blitstein and stars Jamie Law, Nate Miller, Laura Ramadei, Patrick Woodall. The unnerving thriller fixes on a group of unprepared weekend hikers go missing while snowshoeing in the Catskill Mountains. They soon start facing a mysterious force in the woods. Jonathan Blitstein and Jay Schweid, whose other credits include “Redrum: The Unauthorized Musical Parody of the Shining”, have directed and produced, respectively, a movie that's thrilling but also is a treat - it was shot using the RED cameras.
What begins a casual snowshoeing expedition, turns into an unspeakable disaster for a group of unprepared hikers. Deep into the snowy Catskills the group suddenly discovers they have no map coupled with the mysterious disappearance of their hiking poles. The cold nights reverberate with eery feelings among the campers and the apparent sound of frightening footsteps outside their tents. In total fear and desperation to bring the harrowing jaunt to an end, the hikers also discover that their GPS device indicates they're in New Mexico and not the Catskill Mountains! Frantic and fear turns a 27-mile hike into a nightmare of ANOTHER KIND. Stay tuned for the official release date on this film as well as my review.
