Check out the Poster and new trailer for “Riddick”. The poster takes us back to the look and feel of the first film that started the franchise “Pitch Black”, arguably one of the best sci-fi films of that decade and definitely one of the top ten of all time. The film much like the poster will also go back to a more grittier natural feel as the first film. Don’t get me wrong, as you can see from the trailer there is still some pretty high production value happening in the long awaited follow up to “Chronicles…” Still this film is scaled back somewhat giving it the look and feel of the first film but the visual awesomeness of the second. A perfect blend, from what I have seen so far and Vin Diesel has never looked hotter!
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered.The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. “Riddick” also stars Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson. The film opens in theaters and IMAX on September 6.
