“Class Of Nuke ‘em High IV” In Production!

50
THE MOVIE
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' keeps with the spirit of the original 'Class of Nuke Em High', with the Cretins being the definitive stars of the film. This time, anyway, the Cretins are the ones that must save the situation with a high-school ruled by mutant teachers that want to transform all the students into subhumanoids.
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' has every element Troma is known for: the sardonic satire, the sex and violence, the lesbians, the politics, the monsters and the gore; and does not forget the debt the franchise has with the 1980s in the music and aesthetics. At this very moment 'Class of Nuke Em High IV' is in pre-production.
THE TEAM
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' is written and directed by Marc Gras ('Troma is Spanish For Troma') and Dani Moreno ('Amazing Mask'), and executive produced by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz, founders of Troma Entertainment. Nae Esteban (costume design) and Mónica Mansilla (makeup) are also part of the crew.
THE PRODUCTION
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' is the first Troma movie made in Spain, by a spanish cast and crew, in 40 years. Troma filmed outside the US in the past, like Japan, but this is the first time ever a low-budget Troma classic will be made completely in Spain. Distributed worldwide by Troma Entertainment, 'Class of Nuke Em High IV' is produced by Mushnik's Entertainment in collaboration with Chaparra Entertainment, both from Barcelona, the same place the movie is going to be filmed, for Troma Entertainment.
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' will be filmed in english and then dubbed into english and spanish.
A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY
'Class of Nuke Em High IV' is the fourth installment in the succesful franchise known is Spain as 'Mutantes en la Universidad'. The original 'Class of Nuke 'Em High', directed by Richard W. Haines and Lloyd Kaufman in 1986, was one of most succesful Troma movies in its 40 years of history and sold about 500.000 videocassettes back in the day just in the United States. It was followed by two sequels, made in 1991 and 1994: 'Class of Nuke 'Em High Part II: Subhumanoid Meltdown' (Eric Louzil & Donald G. Jackson) and 'Class of Nuke 'Em High Part 3: The Good, the Bad and the Subhumanoid' (Eric Louzil).
'Class of Nuke 'Em High Part IV' comes in a moment when Hollywood has showed strong interest in Troma movies. To the 2010 already made remake of Troma’s original ‘Mother’s Day’ with Rebecca de Mornay, ‘The Toxic Avenger’ will join in a new movie directed by Steve Pink (‘Hot Tub Time Machine’) and produced by Akiva Goldsman (‘A Beautiful Mind’, ‘The Da Vinci Code’). 'Class of Nuke Em High' is another possible remake, being negotiated now. That would attract more attention and publicity to 'Class of Nuke 'Em High Part IV'. The money we are asking for now will be for fx, costumes, models and props (monsters, prosthesis, etc.)
