Theatres Des Vampires News

Italian “vampiric metal” band Theatres Des Vampires – who take their name from the performing troupe in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles – have announced the impending release of their ninth studio album, Moonlight Waltz. In the same update, the band also clued in fans about the album's first single and music video, both of which debut this fall.

Moonlight Waltz is slated for international release on December 3rd, in multiple formats – including a special edition with companion DVD. Well ahead of the album release, the band will unveil the first single Carmilla, based on Sheridan LeFanu's classic vampire novel (which also served as the inspiration for the whole lesbian-bloodsucker thing). The song will be streamed from the band's official MySpace in mid-September, and the accompanying music video will begin shooting later this month under the direction of  David Bracci – whose film credits include special effects work on nearly all of Dario Argento's films in the past decade.
