Franck Khalfoun’s “Maniac” remake is currently making it’s rounds at the Canne’s Film Festival where it will have a midnight screening. Horror-Movies.Ca posted these sweet pics that they snagged giving us the first official images from the psycho killer flick which has Elijah Wood playing the part of the maniac. Also we finally have an official synopsis for this updated revisioning of the 1988 classic movie. I am uber excited about this film and cannot wait to see Elijah as the demented killer. Synopsis:
“Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.”
