Red Band Trailer Release For Controversial Short "Disposition"

A red band trailer has been released for Eric Thirteen's controversial horror short "Disposition". The sexually driven thriller is set to premier at this year's Highland Park Film Festival, October 5th. It stars Sara Malakul Lane, Rob Elk, and Suziey Block.

In Disposition, a quiet girl (Sara Malakul Lane, Sun Choke, Beyond the Gates) finds herself literally stalked by her own darkness. As she struggles with medication and coping with depression, she finds herself constantly envisioning her own violent suicide.

New Images Released For WWII Horror "Overlord"

New images released for upcoming horror "Overlord", set in WWII. The film hits theatres November 9th and is produced by J.J. Abrams. It is directed by Julius Avery, Overlord stars Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Jacob Anderson, Dominic Applewhite, Pilou Asbaek, Iain de Caestecker, John Magaro, Mathilde Ollivier and Bokeem Woodbine.

Only hours until D-Day, a team of American paratroopers drops into Nazi-occupied France to carry out a mission that’s crucial to the invasion’s success.  Tasked with destroying a radio transmitter atop a fortified church, the desperate soldiers join forces with a young French villager to penetrate the walls and take down the tower.  But, in a mysterious Nazi lab beneath the church, the outnumbered G.I.s come face-to-face with enemies unlike any the world has ever seen.

Official Trailer Release For Amazon Prime's 'Lore' Season Two

Amazon Prime has released the official trailer for season two of their anthology series "Lore". The series,  adapted from the Lore podcast deals with real life incidents of frightening encounters with the abnormal, worthy to rise to modern-day legends and myths.

Helming season two is Sean Crouch. "Lore" stars Josh Bowman, Doug Bradley, Thomas Kretschmann, Paula Malcomson, Maimie McCoy, Jürgen Prochnow, Emmett Scanlan, and Alicia Witt. It premieres October 19th.  

My Review Of "Death Kiss"

Filmed in Northern California, "Death Kiss" stars Robert Kovacs (who has gained attention for his uncanny resemblance to Charles Bronson), Daniel Baldwin, Richard Tyson, Eva Hamilton, Stormi Maya, Leia Perez, Reese Austyn, and Sam Story. It is directed by Rene Perez.

The film concerns a vigilante with a mysterious past who goes to a crime-infested city and takes the law into his own hands, at the same time protecting a young mother and her child.

Perez's story is a straightforward tribute to classic vigilante b-movies,  most notably a tribute to the "Death Wish" franchise, and original gun carrying bad ass Charles Bronson. Take one part vigilante , add equal parts criminal , uber bad guys and disgusting assaults and atrocious acts against women. ..viola!  It is classic and timeless. And just as the films before it, "Death Kiss" serves up an action driven bloodbath.

The film is not without flaws,  budget restraints and writing down weaken when pushed further than the cast and production can handle. Luckily dialog is, for the most part,  short - to the point,  and simple through most of the film. The choice of Daniel Baldwin'so character to handle the real hefty dialog as a bridge between audience and plot details is a smart move, and Baldwin shines. That and the fact that Kovacs is nearly devoid of dialog,  letting his actions speak brutally sharp for him creates a nice,  and entertaining movie experience. 

There are also a few flaws in the effects,  again,  obvious budget concerns put Perez at a limit of what can be achieved. He does a pretty decent job. Aside from the cheap "buzz kill" moments of CGI blood splatter and barral flashes,  "Death Kiss" has some cool practical carnage stuff. Done pretty close to realistic the gore and bloodshed work. The overall effect of the movie is a tight, low-budget indie flick fitting somewhere between crime exploitation and grindhouse action film. Definitely worth checking out if you're a crime thriller,  vigilante Bronson fan. (3/5)

New Documentary Styled Trailer Released For "Halloween"

Check out the new documentary styled trailer for "Halloween". The trailer features footage shot by a British film crew visiting Michael Myers at the Psychiatric center. "Halloween" is directed by David Gordon Green and hits theatres October 19th. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode,  Judy Greer as Karen Strode, Laurie’s Daughter, and Andi Matichak plays the role of Laurie’s granddaughter, Allyson.

Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

David Arquette And Luke Wilson In The Electrifying "High Voltage"

David Arquette and Luke Wilson are starring in the electrifying  "High Voltage", previously titled "Hollow Body". The film has been picked up by SP Releasing for distribution.

From writer-director-producer, Alex Keledjiam who created Project Greenlight comes the story of  “a struggling rock band led by washed-out rock star Jimmy Kleen (Arquette) that strikes a deal with a cynical record executive (Wilson). Things take a turn when the band’s lead singer Rachel (AllieGonino) and her controlling stage mother Barb (Perrey Reeves) are struck by lightning and killed. Rachel is brought back to life, but now lightning courses through her veins and she uses her new powers to drain the life from men and turn it into electrifying stage performances. Her bandmates discover her secret and must decide how far are they are willing to let her go to help them succeed.”

"High Voltage" is ready to shock viewers on October 19th, arriving in theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and Detroit as well as on On Demand.

First Look At Chucky Doll From "Child's Play" Reboot

EW revealed the first look at the new Chucky doll from "Child's Play" reboot feature. The film has recently began production and is being helmed by Lars Klevberg. Noticeably missing from the project is creator Don Mancini who is working on his own "Child's Play" project in the form of television series.
