Blue Lantern Films announced they have reached beyond their goal for horror/thriller project “Beacon Point” on Kickstarter. The film follows a group of hikers lost on the Appalachian Trail stumble across an ancient secret that threatens their survival. The goal was set at 20,000 with over 22,000 met by supporters. “Beacon Point” is the creation of indie director Eric Blue who co-wrote the screen play with Traci Carroll.
With the exciting and positive support of the horror community, Blue Lantern Films has decided to extend the crowd funding campaign goal to a total of 30,000 to create an even more scarier horror experience. With the extra goals a new scene, a creepier scene, will be added to the film along with pickups in the Great Smoky Mountains and expanded budget for marketing for the finished product.
Eric Blue plans to allow all backers to download a special ‘Behind The Scenes’ video that will be exclusive to them. You can learn all about the Kickstarter campaign and the new stretch goal here: http://kck.st/1g5udn5 .
