Trailer Released For Action Horror “Velvet Vengeance”

Velvet VengeanceThe first trailer has been released for Jeremy Campbell’s action-horror “Velvet Vengeance”. Campbell’s debut feature started last year as short film of the same name and went on to win awards at festivals. “Velvet Vengeance” has since morphed into a new genre psycho ballet blending horror, action, grindhouse and martial arts. It is a project that I have been following since last spring when I was offered a screening of the short film, learning later that a feature adaptation was in the works. “Velvet Vengeance” stars Lindsay Norman, Dani Bliss Gavit, Paula Marcenaro Solinger, Forrest Vickery, Linda King, Elisa Castillo, Cody Hofmockel and Carl “The Coach” Bailey.

“Velvet Vengence” will be making it’s world premiere at this year’s DOA Bloodbath Film Festival at the historical Texas Theatre on October 19th. The story follows a young woman who is faced with the tragic murder of her brother. The police swear that the murderer is dead but Alice can not shake the feeling that the killer is still alive. Against her friends and family's best wishes she travels to the location of her brothers murder to hunt the killer but little does she know that she is the one that is being hunted.

Check out the trailer below. It has that classic VHS feel, yet it hits on a very modern subgenre in horror-the neo-western, action-horror. The trailer has sparked the same excitement I always got when picking up my indie rentals at the video store, rushing home to watch and noting the trailers for other movies I was sure to pick up soon!
