The long-delayed horror film "The Cabin in the Woods", scripted by Joss Whedon and starring Thor's Chris Hemsworth, has new home at Lionsgate.
Deadline reports that MGM has relinquished the film, directed by Drew Goddard, and Lionsgate has snapped it up for distribution. MGM's painfully drawn-out financial woes caused the movie to be shelved for nearly two years.
Lionsgate hasn't given an exact a release day for "Cabin in the Woods", but Deadline reports that the film may see an October date.
