SPLATTERFEST 2010 SEPT. 24-26

This weekend September 24th-26th See's the launch of SPLATTERFEST, a special type of film festival where YOU scare the audience. If your an aspiring filmmaker, then this is for you, as you and your team will have one splatter-filled weekend to shoot, edit and score your horror short. It sounds like a tall order to create a horror short, but you will be given a few pointers as to what your short should be based around, as on the Friday night you will get a character, a line of dialogue and a murder weapon. It almost sounds like a live action Cluedo, and then 54 hours later, on the Sunday night you will turn in your creation.
The creations will be screened at the Alamo Draft House during the Houston HorrorFest and the top 8 shorts will also screen at the Blood Bath 2 Film Festival at the historic Texas Theatre on November 13th & 14th 2010.
SPLATTERFEST is co-founded by Kerry Beyer and Kelly Smith and some of you may know that Kerry Beyer wrote and directed the horror/comedy Spirit Camp.
