This episode starts off pretty much how they all do, where the last one ends...
Buffy finishes rescuing Zander and Willow from the vamps at the cemetery, which has to be one of the best cemeteries ever! All those crypts and stones gleeming in the moonlight!
While Willow and Zander absorb the fact that there town and world is infested with demons, Giles revels in the delight of educating the young minds on his vast knowledge of the occult.
Jessey gets fed to the Master, who is pissed that Darla snacked on him while she was fetching the meal, The Master is trapped because his plans back fired back in the day so now he has to rely on delivery a.k.a "...bring me back something while your out!" I hate that cause that is one more thing you have to remember while your out doing your own thing and trying to not forget the shit you need yourself...
Willow finds Buffy a way into the underground world of the vamps and she goes off to do some recon and runs into Angel in the crypt. He has a little tit a tat with her about not being liked by the other nasties while letting her know about the Harvest...
Buffy goes down into the tunnels under the cemetery which apparently go on for days, and Zander catches up with her there because he decides to go off and save his dead boy Jessey...
Giles learns about the Harvest and the real implications of what is going on in Sunnydale...
In the computer lab Harmony and Cordie trash Buffy while Willow is doing research. We learn a bit about their personalities in this scene, a very little bit, because personality wise at this point they are as deep as a reflecting pond...
Down in the tunnels Buffy and Zander think they have saved Jessey but it is a trap, he is a vamp now the other suckers are just around the corners waiting to ambush Buff and Zan...
They manage to escape through some air ducts that lead up to an electrical station just out from the cemetery...
The Master is pissed that they let them escape and kills one of his own to make a point. He is running on fumes and eager to hit the nightlife up top and these minions are not making things go easy...
Willow and Giles discuss her finds while in the computer lab, meanwhile the Master has started preparing for the Harvest. He has Luke drink from him so that he will be the vessel by which the Master gains his power to break free from his supernatural prison...
Luke gets the mark, while Willow learns Jessey's fate. Giles explains about Sunnydale being over a Hellmouth, which is a convergence of supernatural forces which is like Vegas for Demons...
The sun sets as Buffy runs home to get ready for the big night out with her friends and the nasties but she gets grounded instead for the whole sneaking out of school to run around in the dark underworld of the city to fight and shit, just like the old days at her old school...
The Bronz is the hang out in Sunnydale, it is the coolest bar. Of coarse it is also the location of the Harvest, so that kinda sucks for them...
Jessey tries to hook up with Cordelia at the Bronz and actually looks like he is gonna get some. but of coarse she doesn't know his new confidence is because he is a vampire...
Darla and the gang get to the Bronze for the Harvest because that is where all the meat is at, Cordie finds out Jessey's true intent and chaos in sues...
Luke begins to feed and the Master feels his strength increase, causing him to crave more ...
Luke gets handed Cordie to feed on while Jessey gets pissed off because he really wanted her for himself...
Buffy makes it to the party just in time to kick some ass and spare Cordie her sucky future...
Zander finally gets to come to terms with losing his friend Jessey and try to resolve things by killing the demon that now possesses his body, while once again in less than two minutes Cordie is saved again...
Buffy breaks free from Luke, Willow holy waters a vamp and Jessey gets dusted...
Luke gets dusted by Buffy after she tricks him with some bad stage lighting which he thinks is daylight, " a blond moment"...
Luke gets dusted, the other vamps bail, and Angel becomes attracted to Buffy, just like most creepy stalkers do when they first meet their future prey?!...
Buffy saves Sunnydale from destruction, but still gets trashed by half the school, but oh well it is high school after all, happy endings are fleeting...
And the bond is formed, the Scooby gang is together and so begins a long journey into fun and bubblegummy vampire slayage at Sunnydale High.
