"Between The Darkness" Digital Release Set For This August

Come, Said the Night has been acquired for distribution by DarkCoast and re-titled as Between the Darkness. The film will see digital release August 20th. It is directed by Andres Rovira. Check out the trailer below.

The film follows 13-year-old Sprout Grady (Nicole Moorea Sherman) and her family to their secluded “Sanctuary” in the woods, on the anniversary of her sister Magda’s (Daniela Leon) death. Her father Roy (Lew Temple) has deep-seated beliefs in ancient Greek mythology, believing in the power of mythological gods, choosing to homeschool his children, Sprout and Percy (Tate Birchmore), protecting them from “The Otherness” – the horrors he believes reside within modern humanity. Sprout, who suffers from sleep paralysis, is increasingly haunted by a lurking Gorgon monster. And when outsiders, a widowed park ranger, Stella Woodhouse (Danielle Harris), and her handsome son Max (Max Page), enter the Gradys’ lives, chaos ensues and brings a strange and terrifying turn of events that will uncover dark family secrets and rock the core of everything Sprout thought she knew.

Epic Pictures Sci-fi Horror "Automation" Looks For Winter Release

Epic Pictures and Dread are gearing up for the World Premiere of the sci-fi horror-thriller, AUTOMATION. With Hollywood Horrorfest this weekend, we have an exclusive look at stills from the film.

Auto has been hired by Alert Insulation to test robot efficiency in the workplace, but when he uncovers a plan to replace most of their staff (including Auto himself) with the next generation of robots, Auto takes murderous action to prevent his own destruction.

AUTOMATION is directed and co-written by Garo Setian, co-written by Rolfe Kanefsky (The Black Room) and Matthew L. Schaffer (Dirty Lies), and stars Elissa Dowling (Rootwood), Sadie Katz (Bus Party to Hell), Parry Shen (Hatchet 1 – 3), Graham Skipper (Sequence Break), and Sarah French (Art of the Dead).

Four New Character Posters Released For "Haunt"

Four new character posters have been released for upcoming horror "Haunt", sure to get you in the Halloween feels. "Haunt" is directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The film is due out in theaters and on VOD September 13th and stars Katie Stevens (Polaroid), Will Brittain (Kong: Skull Island), Andrew Caldwell (“iZombie”, Shazi Raja (“The Code”), Schuyler Helford (The Middle), and Phillip Johnson Richardson(“Chicago P.D.).

Set on Halloween, the film follows a group of friends who enter an “extreme” haunted house that promises to prey on their darkest fears. The night quickly turns deadly as they realize that some monsters are real.

First Image Released For Sci-fi Thriller "Synchronic"

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead return with sci-fi thriller "Synchronic". The first image from the film has been released. It shows Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Civil War) and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), who star.

Synchronic follows two New Orleans paramedics whose lives are ripped apart after encountering a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects.

CANDYMAN's Tony Todd, MINDY PROJECT's Vida Ghaffari to star in new horror REALM OF SHADOWS

Horror legend Tony Todd will star in the thriller film Realm of Shadows. This much anticipated film is a world of mystery, possession and shadows in an anthology of short horror themed tales woven into a full length feature presentation. Even the most shocking stories are based on true events.

Todd plays Fr. Dudley, a long time Catholic priest, dedicated to his profession. Fr. Dudley must watch out for his close friend Robby Duray, played by Jimmy Drain (The Initiation), during a testing time in Robby's life. He also takes on the volatile task of taming Robby's diabolic alter ego, and steer him away from the snares of Satan. Cassandra, played by Vida Ghaffari (Fox’s The Mindy Project) is the alluring and mysterious muse of Master Makin...the mysterious owner of the haunted vault near Strain City's infamous cemetery and narrator of the shadows for our feature presentation. There is tension between her and her acolyte Corey, played by Denise Gurule (Investigation Discovery’s House of Horrors: Kidnapped). 

This film also stars Lauren C. Mayhew, Jodi Lynn Thomas, Gregg Stone, Caustic Scifidelic, Mark Fowler and Noah Anderson.

Production is underway by ThunderKnight Entertainment LTD in Denver, Colorado.

Drain and Robert Beiber wrote the screenplay. Drain and Brian McCulley is the film’s director. 

Todd is best known for the Candyman franchise and the Final Destination franchise. Todd is set to be featured in the upcoming Candyman reboot. Ghaffari’s credits include Fox’s The Mindy Project and ABC’ s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ghaffari recently starred in the action film Eternal Code opposite Scout Taylor-Compton.

Send In The Clowns! The Owlman Returns In His Most Insane Prank Yet!

Fans of Hex Studios will recognise the Owlman as the feathered villain of their movies Lord of Tears and The Black Gloves. Alongside his roles in these cult horror favourites, the Owlman has made quite a name for himself in a series of viral prank videos, the latest of which features unsuspecting members of the public being lured to an old church where the owl-headed menace lies in wait. Among the Owlman's new batch of victims are a pizza-delivery man, a plumber, and most hilarious of all, a children's clown who arrives to find that he's the only one invited to the party...
