Crowd Funding Kicks Off For "The Hairy Ones" Short

A crowd funding campaign has kicked off for throwback creature flick "The Hairy Ones". The short film comes from Terry M. West based on his original flash fiction piece. The campaign is paged on Kickstarter. 

An elderly couple living deep in the woods prepares a sacrifice for the Hairy Ones on All Hallow’s Eve.

"Summer Of 84" Theatrical Release Set For August 10th

SUMMER OF 84 is directed by the Montreal filmmaking collective RKSS (Turbo Kid) which consists of François Simard and brother & sister Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell.  The cast includes Graham Verchere (“Psych,” “Once Upon a Time”), Judah Lewis (The Babysitter, Demolition), Caleb Emery (Goosebumps, “Dear White People”), Cory Grüter-Andrew (“Fargo,” “The 100″), Tiera Skovbye (“Riverdale,” “Once Upon a Time”), and Rich Sommer (“GLOW,” “Mad Men”).

Summer, 1984: The perfect time to be 15 years old and care free. But when neighborhood conspiracy theorist Davey Armstrong begins to suspect his police officer neighbor might be the serial killer all over the local news, he and his three best friends begin an investigation that soon turns dangerous.

New Poster Released For "The Nun"

A new poster has been released for James Wan horror, "The Nun", directed by Corin Hardy.  The film stars Demian Bichir, Tassia Farmiga, and Jonas Bloquet. The official trailer drops tomorrow. "The Nun" hits theatres September 7th.

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order's unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in "The Conjuring 2," as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

Blacklava Brings "Triptychon Of Fear" To DVD

Blacklava Entertainment has debuted a new trailer for the upcoming region free DVD release of Triptychon of Fear, a trio of gloomy and horrifying stories from Grindhouse Entertainment, the twisted minds behind the Ghouls Night Out trilogy, Isolation, and Snuff Tape anthology.   The three episodes, running a combined 91 minutes, will be available for sale on July 13 at all German wholesalers and abroad.

The latest production from Grindhouse Films, Episode I ("Would You Go to Hell for Me?") and Episode III ("Lo specchio di colore giallo dell'anima") were helmed by El Gore.  Cedric Endress directed Episode II ("I Fear").

Triptychon of Fear stars Isabelle Fitzgerald, Christian Fryska, El Excremento, Claudio De Giacomo, Cedric Endress and El Gore. The anthology features music by Musica Non Grate & Cortello Stigma.

"Incarnation" UK DVD/VOD Details

Matchbox and Jinga are pleased to announce the UK DVD / VOD release of Filip Kovacovic's sci-fi action thriller INCARNATION which critics have described as Source Code meets Looper.

INCARNATION follows an man suffering from amnesia who finds himself the target of a relentless gang of assassins. But each time they kill him, a time loop takes him back to the beginning and he is given another chance to survive the ordeal and discover his identity.

SEQUENCE BREAK GETS UK DVD RELEASE

SEQUENCE BREAK stars Chase Williamson (Beyond The Gates) as a reclusive gamer who develops an unhealthy obsession with a video arcade machine resulting in a bizarre bio-mechanical mutation.

Graham Skipper's award winning body horror SEQUENCE BREAK, will receive its UK DVD release courtesy of Matchbox Films.

Actor turned writer/director Graham Skipper (Almost Human, Beyond The Gates, The Devil's Dolls) was inspired by David Cronenburg's Videodrome and a nostalgic love for video arcade games when he conceived the idea for SEQUENCE BREAK.

SEQUENCE BREAK took the festival circuit by storm with screenings at FrightFest (UK), Fantasia (Canada), Fantaspoa (Brasil), Morbido (Mexico), Monster Fest (Australia) and Chattanooga Fest (USA) where it won Best Film.

SEQUENCE BREAK was quickly snapped up by AMC Networks for digital distribution in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Australia and New Zealand through their curated genre channel SHUDDER where it was released on May 24th 2018.
