Release Details And Visual Goodies For "Residue"

XLrator has announced the release details ad well as some visual goodies for Rusty Nixon's "Residue". The film hits iTunes and VOD July 18th. "Residue" stars James Clayton, Taylor Hickson, Costas Mandylor, Matt Frewer, and William B. Davis.

Private investigator Luke Harding (James Clayton) reads a book of sinister origins owned by seedy crime lord Mr. Fairweather (Matt Frewer). Unbeknownst to Luke, the book is a much sought-after supernatural artifact and Fairweather’s greatest rival, the enigmatic Mr. Lamont (William B. Davis), pursues Luke with his henchmen (Costas Mandylor, Michael Matic). While the criminal underworld is desperate to retrieve the book and harness its power for their own dark agendas, it’s evil begins to take root in Luke’s apartment; putting himself, his daughter (Taylor Hickson) and his secret love (Elysia Rotaru) in a fight for their lives… and their eternal souls. 

First Look At Puppets For "Puppet Master" Reboot

Full Moon has revealed the new puppets for franchise reboot for "Puppet Master" series. With filming just wrapped for "Puppet Master : The Littlest Reich" the puppets were on show at Texas Frightmare. Check out the newly redesigned versions of the  iconic Puppet Master villains Blade and Tunneler, as well as the first look at a brand new puppet that looks like a mix between a frog and a clown. The puppets were redesigned and created by Tate Steinsiek.

Udo Kier, Thomas Lennon (Hellbaby), Jenny Pellicer, Nelson Franklin (Scott Pilgrim, Jobs), Charlyne Yi (Cloverfield), and Alex Beh, with genre fav Barbara Crampton (From Beyond, Re-Animator, You’re Next, Sun Choke), Tina Parker (“Breaking Bad”, The Final Destination), Skeeta Jenkins and the great Michael Paré (Streets on Fire) all star "Puppet Master : The Littlest Reich". Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund direct. 

“Puppet Master: The Little Reich” centers on a recently divorced young man discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Texas celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose at during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.

Release Details For Brady Hall's "7 Witches"

Indican Pictures has teamed with director Brady Hall, to bring audiences 7 Witches. Shot near Seattle, Washington, the film is based on an ancient legend, in which a curse haunts the land. The film centrally stars: Persephone Apostolou, Danika Golombek, Megan Hensley and Mike Jones. 

In the story, Cate and Cody are set to be wed. But, they have chosen the wrong spot and time. In this rural town, a coven of witches are set to bring a 100 year curse to fruition. Blood red revenge streaks across this isolated island, leaving Cate and Cody close to death.

7 Witches has just released in a few select theatres, this April. This showing will be followed by an early May home entertainment release. 7 Witches will be available through Video-on-demand and on DVD, this May 9th, 2017. The film will be released in an unrated format. And, Indican Vice President Jeff Benegar says of the film’s affect: “this film is creepy, scary and everything you want in a supernatural horror film!” Fans of horror can see for themselves true terror, this May!

The official synopsis: “As their big day approaches, Cate and Cody should be celebrating. They’ve got their family with them, they’ve rented an island for the big day. But, unbeknownst to them, their wedding falls on the day when a 100 year old curse comes to fruition. Instead of celebrating, they find themselves fighting for their lives as a coven of witches rise for revenge.”

First Trailer Released For "The Dark Tower"

The first trailer had been released for "The Dark Tower". The upcoming feature adaptation of Stephen King's work is due out August 2017 and directed by Nicolaj Arcel. The film is more of a follow up to the book series than direct adaptation.

"The Dark Tower" follows Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), the last Gunslinger, is locked in an eternal battle with Walter O'Dim (Matthew McConaughey), also known as the Man in Black. The Gunslinger must prevent the Man in Black from toppling the Dark Tower, the key that holds the universe together. With the fate of worlds at stake, two men collide in the ultimate battle between good and evil.

Crowd Funding For Creature Feature Puppet Madness "Dead Air!"

Crowd funding has started for female led creature feature puppet flick "Dead Air!". The film is a puppet infused comedy horror short film that strives to create a fun ride with its own unique look and feel. We love practical fx, so as much as possible will be done in camera to give our film that hand crafted feel. Using Henson influenced hand and rod puppets to bring our gremlins to life, everything, from our plane to full sized creatures will be created by use of miniatures and live effects respectively as opposed to doing the work digitally in post production. The campaign is taking place on Indiegogo.

Photos And Trailer Released For Netflix Series "The Defenders"

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for upcoming superhero series "The Defenders". The show is slated for a summer release later this year and stars Sigourney Weaver, Rosario Dawson, Rachael Taylor, Elden Henson, Elodie Yung, Jessica Henwick, Charlie Cox, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Krysten Ritter, Simone Missick, Babs Olusanmokun.
