New Trailer For “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes”

Check out the new international trailer for “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” hitting theatres July 11th. The film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars  Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Jocko Sims, Judy Greer, Keri Russell, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

UK 10th Anniversary Re-Release Of “The Last Horror Movie”

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Soda Pictures has announced the UK DVD re-release of Julian Richards cult hit THE LAST HORROR MOVIE with a street date of May 5th 2014. Meanwhile, US distributor MVD has also scheduled a commemorative release with a North American street date of August 26th 2014. This special collectors edition includes a directors commentary, behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes and this startling new cover art.

THE LAST HORROR MOVIE follows wedding photographer, Max Parry, a smooth talking serial killer who is determined to make the ultimate film about murder. He chooses his victims by recording his film over a generic horror VHS before returning it to rental store and waiting for the next person to rent it, hence the title. THE LAST HORROR MOVIE had its world premiere at FrightFest in 2003 and quickly made an impact on the festival circuit winning 16 awards including, Best UK Feature at Raindance, Best Film at New York Independent Horror Film Festival, Best Film at Eerie Horror Film Festival and the prestigious Melies D'Argent for Best European Fantasy Film awarded annualy by the European Federation of Fantastic Films.


After an ingenious marketing campaign at the Cannes Film Festival where the croisette was daubed with hundreds of faux police wanted posters, THE LAST HORROR MOVIE was snapped up by Fangoria for US theatrical distribution and opened at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas. THE LAST HORROR MOVIE was eventually released in over 20 territories and became a sensation in the UK where it remained at number 2 in the DVD charts for over a month, beating out many Hollywood blockbusters.

“DUTCH HOLLOW”: Suspense/Thriller motion picture to be filmed in Los Angeles starting May 4th 2014. The film is hoping for a Halloween 2014 release.

WHEN A YOUNG FEMALE MURDER SUSPECT IS FOUND DEAD, HOMICIDE DETECTIVE DOUG ELLIS IS FORCED TO CLOSE ONE CASE, ONLY TO OPEN ANOTHER. BUT HIS OBSESSION WITH THE TRUTH PLACES HIM SQUARELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CASE HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE INVESTIGATING.

The story opens with the grisly murder of 22 year-old ERICA SHAW, the main suspect of the police dubbed “Loss of Life” murders that took place the following year. Immediately dispatched to the crime scene in the Dutch Hollow ravine is DOUG ELLIS, a hard-bitten LAPD detective who’s been on the hunt for Erica for the better part of the year, but to no avail… that is until now. Erica’s case shifts from suspect to victim.

Shooting commences on May 4th in Los Angeles. The first teaser trailer has been released for Brian Dorton and reelEpic’s horror anthology “The Horror Network Vol. 1”. The film brings together some of indie horror’s Brian Dorton himself along indie directors  Joseph Graham, Ignacio Martín Lerma, Manuel Marín and Lee Matthews creating chilling tales in the vein of "Creepshow", "Tales From the Crypt", "Tales From the Darkside", "Trilogy of Terror" in five terrorific stories.“The Horror Network Vol. 1” stars Nick Frangione, Artem Mishin, Jan Cornet, Brian Dorton, Charlotte Armstrong, Jenni-Lea Finch, Brad Anderson, and Macarena Gómez.

A woman is taunted by an unknown caller in the middle of the night. A troubled young man sleepwalks and sometimes wakes up with blood on his hands, his therapist uses hypnosis to try and unlock the secrets inside his troubled mind. Instead, he awakens a monster. A little girl and her mother live in an bizarre world of fear and pain, unable to regain their lives after the scars left on them by the brutal beatings endured. A serial killer preys upon a teen boy that he befriends. When a young, deaf schoolgirl is bullied and left to take the long walk home alone, she realizes that she's being followed and a frantic game of cat and mouse begins.

Pagan Festival Shout Out: Floralia

In ancient Roman religion, the Floralia was a festival in honor of the goddess Flora, held April 27 during the Republican era, or April 28 on the Julian calendar. In Latin, the festival was known as the Ludi Florae, the Games (ludi) of Flora. Under the Empire, the games lasted for six days. The festival had a licentious, pleasure-seeking atmosphere. In contrast to festivals based on Rome's archaic patrician religion, the games of Flora had a plebeian character.


Floralia began in April, the Roman month of the love goddess Venus, it was really an ancient May Day celebration. Flora, the Roman goddess in whose honor the festival was held, was a goddess of flowers, which generally begin to bloom in the spring. The holiday for Flora (as officially determined by Julius Caesar when he fixed the Roman calendar) ran from April 28 to May 3.

The celebration in honor of Flora included floral wreaths worn in the hair much like modern participants in May Day celebrations. After the theatrical performances, the celebration continued in the Circus Maximus, where animals were set free and beans scattered to insure fertility. A rite called the Florifertum is described by one source as involving the bearing (fert-) of wheat ears (spicae) into a shrine (sacrarium). It is unclear whether the offering was made to Flora or to Ceres, or whether if made to Flora it occurred on April 27 or May 3.Ovid describes a florifertum in honor of Juno Lucina on March 1,  a date also celebrated as the dies natalis ("birthday") of Mars in whose conception Flora played a role.

Official Trailer For “Wolf Cop” Released

The official trailer has been released for “Wolf Cop”. The film hits Canadian theatres on June 6, 2014 and stars Leo Fafard, Amy Matysio, Jonathan Cherry, Sarah Lind, Aidan Devine and Jesse Moss. “Wolf Cop” is directed by Lowell Dean.

It's not unusual for alcoholic cop Lou to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings, but lately things have taken a turn for the strange...and hairy. WolfCop is the story of one cop's quest to become a better man. One transformation at a time.

New Poster For “The Horror Network Vol. 1” Plus Stills From “The Deviant One”

Check out the new poster for horror anthology “The Horror Network Vol. 1”. The anthology, from reelEPIC Entertainment,  offers up a slice of thrilling terror to be released later this year, just in time for the holiday season. The project is one that Dorton and reel Epic Entertainment are very excited about as it showcases some of the newest indie talent in the Horror community.
