“Return Of The Killer Shrews” is the sequel to the 50’s B-movie classic and has released a new poster and trailer. The film is directed by Steve Latshaw. and stars James Best, John Schneider, Jason Shane Scott and Bruce Davison.

A realty TV show needs an experienced captain to take them to their remote deserted island location. They hire Captain Thorne Sherman (James Best, “Dukes of Hazzard”) who signs on before realizing the island is a place Captain Thorne has been before—The Island of the Killer Shrews! Of course, no one believes Captain Thorne and his tales of flesh-eating rodents, but they will find out the truth of the Killer Shrews soon enough.

From the beginning, the shoot is a disaster. All the supplies have not arrived, the crew is inexperienced, and the show’s legendary “animal expert,” Johnny Reno (John Schneider, “Smallville,” “Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Dukes of Hazzard”) is a talentless know-it-all. The production manager, Sam (Jason Shane Scott, “Starship Troopers 2”) sends two crew members into the jungle to scout locations, but they never return, having been attacked and eaten by the Killer Shrews.

Captain Thorne has seen this before, having been on the island the first time the Killer Shrews struck, so he gets everyone into a safe house—the same scientific compound where the man-eating shrews were spawned half a century ago. However, no safe house can be completely “safe” from the Killer Shrews and they attack, under the leadership of Jerry (Bruce Davison, “X-Men,” “Willard”), a mysterious castaway who has a strange hold over the Killer Shrews.

Captain Thorne and Jerry have a shared past, and there will need to be one final confrontation to see which of the two enemies will survive each other, and whether anyone can survive the Killer Shrews.

First Image From “Patrick” remake

The first image from the remake of the 1978 classic psychological horror film “Patrick” has been released on the movie Facebook Page. The film is scheduled for release first in Australia during the Halloween season of 2013. Still far from when it will see a U.S. release. The movie is directed by Mark Hartley and stars Charles Dance, Peta Sergeant and Sharni Vinson.

In room 15 of the secluded Roget Clinic lies a comatose murderer named PATRICK. His doctor says he’s nothing more than 75 kilos of limp meat hanging off a dead brain – but Kathy, a young nurse, knows very differently.

First Look At James Wan’s “The Conjuring”

Based on true events the story deals with a family who are terrorized by a dark presence fixated within their rural farmhouse. The Warrens actually consider this demonic entity to be among the most powerful that they have faced and fight to save the family from it’s ill intent. The film was first scheduled for a January release but Warner Bros. has pushed the paranormal project back to July 19th 2013. Check out the first look images from EW.

Check out the promo poster and read first details on Jesus Monlloa Plana’s “Son Of Cain”. The psychological thriller is about Nico a special and difficult teenager; he is an exceptionally gifted child with an obsession for chess. He’s got problems with social adaptation and shows a defiant attitude, especially towards Carlos, his father. This father-son confrontation affects the whole family severely. Carlos and Nico’s mother decide to hire the services of Julio, a renowned psychologist experienced in working with special children. Julio himself happens to be a chess master. Through therapy and their common love for chess, Julio will plunge into Nico’s disquieting inner world and try to shed some light onto Nico’s tense and complex relationship with his father. Discovering the truth that lies beyond Nico’s hostility will become the key to avoid the essence of evil taking over their lives.

The film stars Jose Coronado, Julio Manrique David Solans and Maria Molins. It is currently in pre-production.

Red Banner Sets Deal For Sci-fi Action Flick “Manborg”

Greg Newman negotiated the deal with Raven Banner managing partners Michael Paszt and James Fler on behalf of Kostanki and exec producers Colin Geddes and Peter Kuplowsky. MPI plans an early 2013 release in the US on the story of a resurrected supersoldier who battles an army of Nazi vampires and demons. Raven Banner has closed sales in Australia (Monster), Germany (ION) and the UK (Rockstone). Raven Banner/Anchor Bay will distribute in Canada.

“Manborg” is a retro low budget homage to 80’s sci-fi b- movies such as “Flash Gordon”. The film is directed by Steven Kostanski and stars Matthew Kennedy, Adam Brooks, Conor Sweeney, Meredith Sweeney, Ludwig Lee and Andrea Karr. The film is about a dead soldier finds himself reanimated as a cyborg killing machine.

Brutal Clips From “The Collection”

When Elena’s (Emma Fitzpatrick) friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer. The Collector kidnaps and transports her to an abandoned hotel he’s transformed into his own private maze of torture and death. Upon learning of his daughter’s disappearance, Elena’s wealthy father (Christopher McDonald) hires a group of mercenaries to retrieve her from the vicious grips of The Collector. These mercenaries coerce Arkin (Josh Stewart), the only man to have escaped the wrath of this heinous monster, to lead them through the gruesome labyrinth. Now, Arkin finds himself fighting for his own life in order to save Elena.

Below are four clips that show just how dark and intense “The Collection” proves to be. Directed by Marcus Dunstan who returns for the sequel to bring to life the extreme psycho collector. This sequel stars returning actor Josh Stewart and also stars Johanna Brady and Christopher McDonald. It opens in theatres on Nov. 30th.

“The Last Exorcism Part II” Release Date

CBS Films announced today that it has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to THE LAST EXORCISM PART II from Studiocanal.
Directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly from a screenplay by Gass-Donnelly and Damien Chazelle, THE LAST EXORCISM PART II is the sequel to the critically-acclaimed 2010 hit THE LAST EXORCISM which surpassed all expectations by grossing more than $20 million its opening weekend. Eli Roth produced the film along with Marc Abraham, Thomas A. Bliss and Eric Newman of Strike Entertainment. Patty Long and Gabrielle Neimand served as executive producers.
Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found alone and terrified in the woods. Back in the relative safety of civilization, Nell realizes that she can't remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.
