My Review Of “Evil Bong” (2006)

poster_Evil_Bong     Full Moon Direct has given us all so much pleasure over the past three and some odd decades with the likes of “Demonic Toys”, “Subspecies” and of coarse “Puppet Masters”. Charles Band’s “Evil Bong” continues that tradition with humor, iconic moments, and awesome visuals paying homage to countless fans with a cultural tribute to weed connoisseurs. The film is stars David Weidoff, John Patrick Jordan, Mitch Eakins, Tommy Chong, and Michele Mais (as the evil bong).

The story has three college roommates who take in another roommate to subsidies their habit or love of the bud. Soon after one of the roommates purchases a sweet bong that comes with a warning attached the guys begin to drop like flies. It is up to one of the boys to stay straight headed and defeat the evil bong in order to save the girl he loves as well as bring his friends back from the strip club out of hell!
bong1     “Evil Bong” is a great buzz movie. The story is funny and classic. The pot laced humor is relatable to even the non smokers among us. This flick is a perfect nod to the great classic horror/comedy styles of the 80’s. Which considering it comes from one of the great minds of horror/comedy of the 80’s that makes sense. The film is fun to watch with a killer soundtrack and classic puppetry. Eebee is kick as bong! The whole time I am sitting and watching this movie I keep thinking how cool it would be if this was an actual TV or web series with one hour episodes each week taking these stoners through different hells, and a laugh track! Maybe it is just me but could totally get into Eebee’s evil insights of the state of world depravity.

ChongBongBomb“Evil Bong” is classic. There are many cameo’s from other great Charlie Band film characters that I have grown to love over the years. The music is awesome and there is flesh shots to be enjoyed by both men and women. The cheeky kill scenes are hilarious. The dialogue is witty and classic pot diluted humor. A cool film to have for any horror or genre film fan.
