Official Full Trailer for “Inbred” Goes Online

From the site:
INBRED is the warped brain child of UK writer/director Alex Chandon (alexchandon.com), who is responsible for the independent cult feature films CRADLE OF FEAR (2001) and PERVIRELLA (1997) as well as numerous award winning shorts and music promos.
The script was written in 2009 and it immediately piqued the interest of Michael Kraetzer, who had distributed Alex’s CRADLE OF FEAR in Germany, and who was about to set up his own production company, New Flesh Films (newfleshfilms.com). Michael and his partners loved the INBRED script and decided to back the movie and so the wheels were set in motion. Alex developed a few drafts of the script and the final draft is co-written by his long time film making buddy Paul Shrimpton, who lives in Yorkshire.
It was while staying with Paul that Alex decided that Yorkshire was the perfect location for the film; Paul’s hometown of Thirsk has some stunning locations and a community untouched by film-makers and so they were all eager to help and get involved. Alex invited Split Second Films (splitsecond-films.com) a Midlands based independent production company to be the UK arm of the production, and so Margaret Milner Schmueck became the UK producer and pre-production began officially in June 2010 for a 4 week shoot in August 2010.
INBRED MAIN big size web
A disparate group of young urban offenders and their care workers embark on a community service weekend in the strange, remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. A minor incident with some local inbred youths rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare for all involved. This is a demented horror film with nowt taken out.

Synopsis
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.
Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.
Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth.
Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

Sushi Bites Back!

Dead-Sushi-2012-Movie-Poster-600x476
After untold years of people eating raw food and sushi becoming the It craze of cultures around the world finally it is time for some pay back. Sushi gets it’s revenge in this film from NOBORU Iguchi.

An Apocalyptic Valentine…

I am sure we all deal with death differently as I am sure that we will all deal with the end of the world in our own ways. Some people will opt- out while other’s will rape and pillage.  Many may be very Samantha about it and fuck our way to through d-day. Who can really say?

Well Abel Ferrara has a scenario that is a little avant-garde. Check out this cool off beat approach at how humanity will take it’s final bow….

The film stars Willem Dafoe, Shanyn Leigh, Paz de la Huerta, and Natasha Lyonne.
444-Last-Day-on-Earth
“With the planet on the verge of extinction, a New York couple (Dafoe and Leigh) cycle through moments of anxiety, ecstasy, and torpor. As they sink into the havens of sex and art, and Skype last goodbyes in a Lower East Side apartment filled with screens bearing tidings of doom and salvation, the film becomes one of Ferrara’s most potent and intimate expressions of spiritual crisis. An apocalyptic trance film, 4:44 LAST DAY ON EARTH is also a mournful valentine to Ferrara’s beloved New York: the director’s first fiction feature to be filmed entirely in the city in over a decade, and coming 10 years after the September 11 attacks, a haunting vision of doom in the lower Manhattan skyline.”

“Carnieville” Teaser Trailer

There is no doubt that clowns are creepy entities. I find them unsettling and yet I love horror movies where clowns are the slasher. I guess I like torturing myself…
Anyway check out this disturbing promo for Victor Mathieu's “Carnieville”.

“The Corridor” Trailer

Haven’t been online in awhile. So long it seems that I have missed more than I could possibly care to go back and find out. I was dealing with pancreatitis which resulted in gall bladder being removed. Anyway finally starting to heal and get the stitches out Monday so now I am feeling well enough to sit here and deal with the internet once more….

Just saw this trailer for “The Corridor” which hints at a very intense melodrama filled with plenty nail biting edge of the seat moments. I can’t wait to see this one….

The film stars Stephen Chambers, James Gilbert, David Patrick Flemming, Matthew Amyotte & Glen Matthews.
The-Corridor
“They’ve been the best of buddies for more than a decade, but now they’re changing– getting married, getting fired, going bald, going crazy. During a male-bonding weekend they will discover a spectral corridor through the woods– an impossible hallway where none should be. It will lead these five men into fear, into betrayal and into the biggest change of them all: by weekend’s finish… they’ll be dead.”
