Freestyle Digital Media Acquires North American Distribution For Psychological Thriller "Woodland"


Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios, has acquired North American rights to the psychological thriller, WOODLAND. WOODLAND will be available to rent and own on DVD and North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms through Freestyle Digital Media on July 28, 2020.

Written and directed by Jon Silverberg, WOODLAND features an ensemble cast including Richard Harmon (‘Jake’), Amanda Tapping (‘Donna’), Frank C. Turner (‘Kohler’), Philip Granger (‘Sparky’), and Catherine Jack (‘Anna’).

WOODLAND stars Richard Harmon (CW’s THE 100), a photojournalist whose future is revealed to him through the images he shoots. Set in 1989, photojournalist Jake is out-of-work and struggling with addiction when he takes a job as watchman of a wilderness lodge on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, alongside veteran handyman, Sparky. Jake sets up a darkroom to develop his photographs, which begin to expose disturbing premonitions of their future.

Lionsgate has released the final trailer for time-altering horror "Antebellum". The socially charged film is due out in theatres August 21st. It is directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz and starring Janelle Monje, Marque Richardson II, Eric Lang, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe, Rob Aramayo, Lily Cowles, and Jena Malone.

Vertical Entertainment To Release "Ghosts Of War" On Vertual Cinema Screens This July


Vertical Entertainment will release the psychological thriller "GHOSTS OF WAR" on Virtual Cinema Screenings, On Demand and Digital on July 17th. The film is directed by Eric Bress and is currently streaming on DirectTV. Serial Killer Thriller "Cut Off" To Release This July


Christian Alvart's serial killer thriller "Cut Off" is set to be released this July. The film stars Moritz Bleibtreu, Fritzi Bauer, Fahri Yardim, Enno Hesse, Christian Kuchenbuch, Urs Jucker, and Barbara Prakopenka. Dark Sky Films will release the film on digital and DVD July 3rd.

The film's story follows a coroner and a strange mystery. Paul finds an even stranger clue, which leads to the location of his kidnapped daughter. But, each clue leads to another character and another twist.

Artsploitation Films Acquires Horror "Welcome To The Circle"


Artsploitation Films has announced the acquisition of a new horror film: Welcome to the Circle, a supernatural thriller centered around a murderous cult. The film will be released later this fall on DVD/Blu-ray and VOD/Streaming. The film is directed by David Fowler.

A camping misadventure forces a young girl and her father into the realm of a madman worshiping cult known as The Circle. As the pair become trapped in The Circle’s increasingly frightening sphere of indoctrination, a case-hardened professional cult deprogrammer and his two clients attempt to kidnap/reclaim one of group’s members. Grizzly rituals are soon revealed to be part of a terrifying, surreal, alternate reality that has been constructed by the cult’s mysterious, isolated leader. Escape is the only objective, but all of them are trapped in The Circle.

Horror Comedy "Homewrecker" Opens In Select Theaters June 26th

Trailer Released For Mystery Thriller "The Transcendents"


The Transcendents is a mysterious thriller set in a musical world. Derek Ahonen’s debut feature follows Roger, a dark figure, who is in search of defunct indie rock band - The Transcendents. What he finds are the remnants of the disillusioned band and a mystery to uncover. The Transcendents stars: The Go-Gos Kathy Valentine, musician Rob Franco (Sicario: Day of the Soldado) and Savannah Welch (The Sinner). And, Indican Pictures will debut this film in theatres this June and on Digital platforms this July.

The Transcendents had a long film festival run in 2018 and 2019, before finding a wide U.S. release. On its film festival run, this feature won several awards, including: an “Outstanding Achievement Award” (Cult Critic Movie Awards), “Best Original Screenplay of a Feature Film” (Derek Ahonen, North Hollywood Cinefest) and a “Best Supporting Actress” (Kathy Valentine, Prison City Film Festival). Two New Behind-The-Scene Clips Released For "The Dinner Party"

Bill Sage (American Psycho, “Power”) and Jeremy London (Mallrats, The Devil’s Dozen) star in writer-director Miles Doleac’s The Dinner Party, coming to theaters, DVD and Digital this June from Uncork’d Entertainment.

Renowned surgeon and culinary enthusiast, Carmine Braun, invites playwright, Jeffrey Duncan, and his wife to join his eccentric friends at their semi-annual dinner party, having promised to fund Duncan’s new play to Broadway. As the evening descends into madness, the group’s true intentions are revealed, along with an ancient secret that will change the Duncans’ lives and fortunes forever.
