Roman Media Inc. join forces with Flirt Films to present award winning filmmaker, Patricia Chica’s Bloody Burlesque, part of an anthology of horror shorts for the annualMassive Blood Drive PSA, curated by the Soska Sisters (American Mary, Hellevator).
The infamous identical twin cinéastes invite you to bleed for a good cause. Donating blood is something many people find terrifying. Through provocative imagery, the anthology of short films encourages viewers to face their fears and help those in need. The PSA premieres this February 1st 2016 on YouTube, in honour of Women in Horror Recognition Month(#WiHM7).
Invited by the Soskas for the third year in a row, Chica’s Bloody Burlesque will play amongst work from some of the most innovative, unique, and irreverent horror directors in the genre.
The bloody affair will be full of surprises including appearances by Scream Queens Tiffany Shepis(Sharknado 2, The Violent Kind, The Hazing) and Tonya Kay (Amityville Terror, Within the Darkness).
“The blood drive is important and not enough of us do it. I play with fake blood all day long but the reality is people need our real blood and our help. Please donate.”, says actress Tiffany Shepis.
“The concept of this short came to me through meditation, and the visuals, I guess are remnants of a past life being involved with the Montreal burlesque and fetish subcultures.
