And from all good book sellers.

Here’s the Synopsis:
Samuel Troyer was different than the other children in the small village of Brantwood. He was much bigger and stronger. And he was a little odd, which made him an outcast and a loner. But when his father finds willing children for him to play with, his dark side surfaces and new formed friendships end all too quickly.

When the townsfolk learn of the fruits of his darkness they seek their revenge. They murder and bury poor Samuel in an unmarked grave and try their best to cast him from their minds forever.

Seasons pass and the townsfolk forget what they did to poor Samuel.

But Samuel’s darkness is much stronger than death. The strange little boy is gone and forgotten, but a new life is born called The Harvester, and he’s hell-bent on revenge.

This dark, new being then teaches the people of Brantwood to never forget that we reap what we sow…

SST Publisher Paul Fry says: "I’m so excited for people to read Steve’s incredible graphic novel. The first book is beautifully drawn and is a fun and creepy slasher-type story. The first book sets the three-book series up brilliantly and I can’t wait to see what happens next!"

My Review Of "Christmas At Dracula's"

Simon McKeon' "Christmas At Dracula's" is a folly, (modern French definition), into the world of Dracula after the world has forgotten him. The horror comedy is a total homage to the glory days when cinema and fans revelled in tales of classic monsters made famous, in part, thanks to Universal. "Christmas At Dracula's" is McKeon's love letter of sorts to that era and a horror icon, who unlike his predicament suggests in this film, will never be forgotten by the world.
Synopsis: "Christmas at Dracula's" is
told through the eyes of The Invisible Man. Count Dracula has hit rock bottom, so with the help of his noble companion Igor, he decides to throw the greatest Christmas party of all time. But when two killers arrive at the door, things slowly begin to spiral out of control. And Dracula's faith lies in the hands of one creature...death himself!
"Christmas At Dracula's" stars Conor Dwane, Michael O'Dowd, Lorraine Comiskey, Noelle Clarke, John Browne, Art Kelleher, Jerry O'Mullane, Johnathan O'Dwyer, Dave McGuire, Lochlainn McKenna, Conor Slattery, Mary Pappin, Colin Patrick Kelleher, and Dave Coon. All give great pop performances as iconic creatures of lore and the American duo of psycho killers is a total delight that modernizes the monster movie while stating clearly that the homicidal maniac is completely part of the classic horror story. Plus Booth and Oswald scream for their own twisted tale in a spin-off flick.
Personally I enjoyed this film a lot. It has a heavy stage production feel that leans on art-house  expressionism. The writing is witty with plenty of humor, dark humor and slapstick. It also takes that really deep more serious turn into existentialism. "Christmas At Dracula's" keeps a steady, reserved pace that allows the characters and dialog to carry this story, the action sequences take on a graphic novel look which is brilliant. The film won't appeal to those looking for a lot of bloody, fast-paced action but for indie horror fans"Christmas At Dracula's" offers a perfect mix of story, character, theater and humor. Definitely check it out.

Cork film Christmas At Dracula's wins major award.

Cork based film company, El Diablo Productions is proud to announce that their feature film, ''Christmas At Dracula's'' has won ''Best Horror Comedy'' at the renowned Spotlight Film Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.

Shot over the course of 2 years on location in Cork City and county, with a minimal budget, ''Christmas At Dracula's'' is a dark retelling of the count's story, but with an added comedic twist that sees the infamous literary character stage a monster mash Christmas party.  Blending elements from the universal horror films of the 30's, 70's B-movies with the styles of Tarantino and Scorsese, director Simon Mckeon calls the project a love letter to Cult Cinema.

Produced by veteran Cork actor, Conor Dwane, the film marks Dwane's second time playing a version of Stokers creation, his first time being in an adaptation staged in the Firkin Crane. On playing the vampire this time round, Conor says; ''It's very exciting to play Dracula in a comedic way, there's so much you can do with him, especially when the viewer is expecting to get the classic Count. There's elements of that in there too, that was the great thing about it, mixing the old with the new''.

''Winning this award is a huge thing for us, as it gets the film to a wider audience. When you're working on a shoe-string budget you have to rely on word of mouth and social media to publicise your work, so this has been a huge boost for us'', says Simon.
The film also includes a long list of other Cork actors, including Michael O'Dowd, John Browne, Lorraine Comiskey, Art Kelleher, Noelle Clarke, Jonathan O'Dwyer, Conor Slattery, David Coon, to name but a few.

With the award under their belt, El Diablo isn't even thinking about slowing down, in fact, they are prepping not one, but two films for the coming months. The first is a short comedy, penned by Conor Dwane, called "The Milk Run'', the company are currently seeking funding for the project and hope to start cameras rolling in September. ''It's a pretty cool and very funny script. It will be the first time I'll be directing a script that I haven't written myself, so I am really excited about the new challenge'', said McKeon on the short. ''We've recently recruited new blood into the company, Edvinas Maciulevicius and Muru Walters, both are exceptional film-makers. We really have a great team for this one and are very exited about future projects''. After the Milk Run, El Diablo will be turning their eyes to darker subject matter with a new feature that's also in pre-production, a murder mystery set to the back-drop of 1994 Ireland, drawing hugely from film Noirs.

''Christmas At Dracula's'' is currently on the festival circuit and will be made available to the public for viewing towards the end of the year.

Gravitas Ventures Signs Horror Soap Opera HELL TOWN

Gravitas Ventures has acquired domestic VOD rights for Steve Balderson's festival favorite Hell Town.  Presented as three episodes of a sadistic twist on Masterpiece Theater, Balderson (Firecracker, The Casserole Club) and co-director Elizabeth Spear have carved up a serialized story filled with catfights, cliffhangers, broken hearts and murder.

Since the world premiere sponsored by the Austin Horror Society and Alamo Drafthouse, Hell Town has made audiences and critics laugh and scream, picking up awards for Best Feature at Colorado Horror-Con, as well as a Best Feature and Best Actress win for Amanda Deibert, with nominations for Best Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography, at the Crimson Scream Horror Film Festival.

Debbie Rochon (Model Hunger, Return to Nuke 'Em High, The Theater Bizarre) headlines as the hostess of the three surviving episodes of Hell Town, following the melodramatic and potentially short-lived lives of Krysten Day, Amanda Deibert, Owen Lawless, Ben Windholz, Jennifer Grace and Balderson muse Pleasant Gehman.

Hell Town follows the melodramatic antics of high school seniors clashing over love, sex, and betrayal.  In the middle of all the everyday drama of one-sided infatuations, backstabbing bitchiness, bottled-up sexuality, sibling rivalry and general small-town angst, the Letter Jacket Killer is killing students in a variety of sadistic ways.  As the body count rises and the blood pools closer to home, it becomes clear that one of our main characters is the killer.  Everyone, from the prom queen and shirtless jock to the nosey geek and the super bitch, are all suspects in the carnage.

Brendan Gallagher, SVP of Business Affairs at Gravitas negotiated the deal with Cyfuno Ventures on behalf of Dikenga.  A digital and cable release is planned for the end of summer.
