Today is Psychotic Saturdays! My focus on cinema this week is the Slasher. The fictional boogeyman based on the real life monster we call the serial killer. Since it is Halloween time I am putting the psycho of the fantasy world in my sights instead of the films that focus on more brutal and realistic slaughters of the lambs by a very present threat of the lurking killer in the shadows of the streets in nearly every town. Such a downer to focus on them when we can obsess on the supernatural blood lust of the mythical killer we all love to cheer on.
