RLJE FILMS PRESENTS "BLOOD, SWEAT AND TERRORS" This November

RLJE Films (NASDAQ: RLJE) will release the action/thriller film BLOOD, SWEAT AND TERRORS on VOD, Digital and DVD on November 6, 2018. BLOOD, SWEAT AND TERRORS stars John Hannah (The Mummy franchise), Ed Speleers (“Downtown Abbey”) and Neil Maskell (“Humans”) and features incredible stunts performed by stunt actors from major feature films including Fight Club, Wonder Woman, Ocean’s Eleven, The Matrix Reloaded and 300. RLJE Films will release BLOOD, SWEAT AND TERRORS on DVD for an SRP of $27.97.

In BLOOD, SWEAT AND TERRORS, there’s no running from this fight. A lethal dose of gangsters, hit men, crooked cops and guerilla fighters are headed for the ultimate showdown…with more non-stop, bare-fisted action than one movie can handle. The hardcore double crosses, desperate missions and cold-blooded revenge are loaded into every minute and won’t end until the last bullet is fired. Concept Media Acquires "Bearacuda" Distribution Deal

Vulgar Films and director Mac Brewer are happy to announce that the horror short BEARACUDA will be released by Concept Media on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Concept Media is known throughout the horror community for their original films Midsummer Nightmares, Ladies Night, Don’t Fuck in the Woods, and Bludgeon. Concept Media recently announced their indie distribution label Select Cuts with the release of Tory Jones’ Killbillies. Bearacuda will mark the second release in the Select Cuts line.

Bearacuda is Mac Brewer’s first film and is an Ed Wood approach to the bigfoot/sasquatch films of the 70s and stars Angela Pritchett (Plan 9, Porkchop 2), Allison Egan (Applecart, Halloween Spookies), Josh Miller (CarousHELL, Nothing Good Ever Happens), Richie Acevedo (WrestleMassacre, (White Boy Rick) and introducing Charles Lawson and Joe Brody. The film also has a special appearance from Jason Crowe.

Filming Begins For Jordan Peele's "Us"

Deadline is reporting that filming has began for Jordan Peele's upcoming social thriller "Us". Written by Peele, "Us" is filming on Universal's Backlot and stars an ensemble cast including Elisabeth Moss, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Tim Heidecker, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Anna Diop, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry, Cali Sheldon, and Noelle Sheldon. The film has a calendar date of release set for March 2019. 

Shudder To Release "Found Footage 3D" In September

At long last Shudder will be releasing "Found Footage 3D" on Blu-ray and DVD on September 4th! 3 options will be made available DVD only, Blu-ray only, and Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. All options contain both the 2D and anaglyph 3D versions of the film and will come with red-blue glasses for viewing. Regrettably, Shudder has decided against a true 3D Blu-ray at this time. 

In addition to the two versions of the film, the DVD and Blu-ray will both contain outtakes and deleted scenes. The Blu-ray will also contain two commentary tracks, additional outtakes and extended scenes, and the trailer.

The release will be available in most places where DVDs and blu rays are sold, including Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon.  

“Found Footage 3D” tells the horror story of six filmmakers, who in 2012 disappeared while making the first “found footage” film. One year later, their behind-the-scenes footage was discovered.

MSR Studios Announce Fall Production Date For "Like A Shadow"

MSR Studios has announced that it will begin production on paranormal horror "Like A Shadow" in September. Actor/writer Luc Bernier, who wrote the script, has joined horror director Michael S. Rodriguez for the project. Donna Hamblin, Liane Langford, and Geovonna Casanova are set to star, with Lynn Lowry making an appearance.

The film follows two women having a ladies night in when terror strikes in the form of an unwanted visitor. A struggle to survive ensues, leaving one person dead…Or so it is thought.

New Title For James Wan's "The Children"

James Wan's next horror has a new title. Though the film isn't due out till April 2019, "The Children" as been renamed "The Curse Of LA Llorona". Directed by Michael Chaves, the film stars Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez, Jaynee-Lynne Kinchen, Roman Christou, and Sean Patrick Thomas.

The story follows a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy.

Creative Alley Announces '"Iron' Terry Malone"

Creative Alley Productions, in association with All Things Creative and Brazen Giant Productions, announed actors Holt McCallany (“MindHunter”) and Vincent Pastore (“The Sopranos”) will star in  upcoming dark comedy “'Iron' Terry Malone”. The screenplay, based on true events. The film will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Johnny Greenlaw (Mommy’s Box).

The film is set largely in Hoboken, N.J., with the owner and five regulars teaming up to kill off one of their own to save their favorite bar from closing.

McCallany, the acclaimed star of Netflix’s ‘’Mindhunter’’, plays a local mobster named Mean Mike, who with the bar’s owner Harry Moffet, played by John Doman (The Wire), hatch the plan to off the town beggar and drunk “Iron” Terry Malone, played by Pastore.

The cast also includes, Christian Keiber (“Gotham’’), Bill Sorvino (“Who’s Jenna..?”), Kerry McGann (“Bloodrunners’’), Johnny Greenlaw (“Mommy’s Box”), Robert John Keiber (“Trust Me, I’m a Lifeguard”), Maureen Van Zandt (“The Sopranos’’), and Gary Pastore (“The Deuce’’). Sam Calagione, owner of Dogfish Head Brewery, the official beer sponsor of the film, will also appear in the movie.

Sequel To 2017's "Anna" In The Works

MGI Films' Michael and Gerald Crum plan for a sequel to 2017's "Anna", about a killer doll that unleash a host of evil on two filmmakers' lives when they attempt to capture the paranormal. Early talks plan for actual production to begin later this year. Right now MGI has just finished their project "Lake Fear 3".

Horror fans will recognise Macarena Gomez from her many iconic performances in the genre, from the mesmerizing sea priestess in Dagon to the deranged shut-in in Shrew's Nest, and the psychotic murderess in Sexy Killer. She is known for her intense and memorable performances, but her role in The Black Gloves might be her most extreme yet. In this Hitchcock-inspired horror, Macarena plays Lorena Velasco, a formidable ballet mistress obsessed with the recovery of her troubled student.

Macarena chats candidly about working with Director Lawrie Brewster and her fellow actors Jamie Scott-Gordon and Alexandra Nicole Hulme, as well as the challenges of performing in English, and what it's like to work on an independent production. 

The Black Gloves is the latest offering from Director/Writer team Lawrie Brewster and Sarah Daly. It tells the story of a psychologist obsessed with the disappearance of his young patient, and the menacing owl-headed figure that plagued her nightmares. His investigations lead him to a reclusive ballerina who, just like his patient, is convinced that she is about to die at the hands of this disturbing entity.
