Poster & Trailer for Indie "12 Bells"

Synopsis: A diverse group of apartment dwellers unsuspectingly become trapped in a parallel dimension of disparate doors. While most are merely acquaintances at the outset, the group is thrust into a maze of hallways and rooms only to be separated by the mystifying element of each doorway. As they struggle to reunite and find their way, they encounter a myriad of macabre and often manic beings who threaten their life with false hope and violent sadistic behavior. Caleb, an alcoholic recluse with a dark past who inhabits the same apartment building, must risk his last bit of sanity to help his fellow residents and rid himself of his own inner demons. Set in a warehouse resembling a mysterious netherworld, the clash of human and sub-human beings results in a chilling perplexity of survival.

"UnHappy Birthday" To You!

A special birthday party becomes a living nightmare for city-dwelling couple Sadie and Rick and their friend Jonny. They are invited to visit the remote tidal island of Amen by Corinne – an enigmatic local who professes to hold answers to long-buried family secrets. The island is populated by a historically close-knit community who discourage strangers from visiting. So why have these three outsiders been allowed on? The mysterious family connection with the island brings horrific consequences as they find themselves trapped by the tide and at the mercy of the islanders. They say that blood is thicker than water, but when two worlds with opposing values clash, these visitors will wish they’d never been born.
"UnHappy Birthday" had its World Premiere at the BFI  ,(25th Annual London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival) . As a special birthday surprise, Rick whisks his girlfriend Sadie away to the secluded island of Amen, unaware of the horrors that lie in wait for them. Amen is a place notoriously difficult to reach, and it isn't long before Rick and Sadie, along with their friend Jonny, realise that getting there is the least of their worries, it is escaping that will prove the real problem. Filmed on the wonderfully spooky island of Lindisfarne, directors Mark Harriott and Mike Matthews gleefully exploit fears of isolation and displacement as our ill-fated trio fall victim to the macabre traditions of an antiquated community. A refreshingly queer take on the classic British horror film, Unhappy Birthday has a playfully retro vibe, a healthy disrespect for religion and a deliciously deviant heart.
