Satanic Sundays! Six Flicks That Will Sweep You Away With The Unholy Ghost!

Today is Sunday. Or as I call it Satanic Sunday! That is right it is time again for another Satanic Sundays! Post. Six more flicks that will have you bathing in the unholy spirit of this truly unholy day of days! So sit back, chillax and get to know how demonically delightful life can be if you let that twisted little voice that sends ice down your spine to truly possess you! That is what happened to these darkly devilish darlings.








1. The Amityville II: The Possession (1982)

A family moves into their new home, which proves to be evil, resulting in the demonic possession of the teenage son. Only the local priest can save him. The film is directed by Damiano Damiani and stars James Olsen, Burt Young, Rutanya Alda and Jack Magner. It takes the evil house legend brought to life by the first film into a whole new realm of darkness.

2. The Exorcist (1973)

Directed by William Friedkin the film stars Linda Blair, Ellen Burstyn and Max Von Sydow. A visiting actress in Washington, D.C., notices dramatic and dangerous changes in the behavior and physical make-up of her 12-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.

3. Burnt Offerings (1976)

Haunted house chiller from Dan Curtis has Oliver Reed and Karen Black as summer caretakers moving into gothic house with their young son. The catch? The house rejuvenates a part of itself with each death that occurs on its premises. The film stars Bette Davis, Karen Black, and Oliver Reed and was directed by Dan Curtis.

4. Audrey Rose (1977)

A New York couple experience bizarre, stalker-like behavior from an English stranger. While they attempt to bar him from their lives, he slides his way in anyway and tries to convince them that their 11-year-old girl is the reincarnation of his 11-years-departed daughter, Audrey Rose. Directed by Robert Wise and starring Anthony Hopkins, Martha Mason and John Beck this little flick shows that not all possessions come from Hell.

5. Exorcism/Lorna The Exorcist (1974)

Directed by Jesus “Jess” Franco the film stars Pamela Stanford, Guy Delorme and Lina Romay. The businessman Patrick takes his wife Marianne and daughter Linda on a vacation. Patrick's old friend Lorna shows up just in time for Linda's 18th birthday and takes demonic, sexual possession of the girl's body and soul.

6. Exorcismo (1975)

The story in this horror movie involves a young woman's unknowing participation in a satanic ceremony which causes her to be possessed by the spirit of her dead father. She promptly begins exhibiting the standard symptoms - curses, vomiting, and even twisting the heads of a few people 180 degrees. Naschy plays the village priest summoned to perform the rites of exorcism, and must fend off the possessed one's lewd advances before casting the evil spirit out of her body. Directed by Juan Bosch the film stars Paul Naschy, Maria Perschy and MarĂ­a Kosty.
