Psychotic Saturdays! Six Films That Are Down Right Serial



005 - CopyAnother Psychotic Saturday is here and time for me to list my six films that horror fans see. Whether discovering for the first time or rediscovering these films will have you embracing the crazy. Psychotic Saturdays! is a day to celebrate the insane, or in the case of this week, the criminally insane. Here are my six must see flicks that should please the voices in your head. Just remember to lock your doors and shut your windows tight because this week the danger lurks all around and his mask is sinister design of normality. Watch out because you never know if a serial killer is stalking your neighborhood.





1. To Scared To Scream (1985)

Too-Scared-to-Scream-1985Directed by Tony Lo Bianco this little gem of brutality stars Mike Connors, Anne Archer and Leon Isaac Kennedy. Detective Dinardo a New York detective is investigating a series of ghastly murders of various residents in a high-rise apartment complex. With some suspicion pointing to the strange doorman, Dinardo recruits police rookie Kate as bait to lure the killer into the open.











2. The Touch Of Her Flesh (1967)

touch of her fleshA distraught weapons dealer is involved in an automobile accident after catching his stripper wife in bed with another man. Upon recovering, he goes on a killing spree, bumping off exotic dancers and hookers while plotting revenge on his wife. This racy and very adult film is directed by Michael Findlay and stars Suzanne Marre, Angelique and Michael Findlay.










3. The New York Ripper (1982)

new york ripperDirected by Lucio Fulci “New York Ripper” stars Andrea Occhipinti, Howard Ross, Almanta Suska and Jack Hedley. A burned-out New York police detective teams up with a college psychoanalyst to track down a vicious serial killer randomly stalking and killing various young women around the city.











4. Playgirl Killer (1968)

playgirl killerDirected by Eric Santamaria “Playgirl Killer” stars William Kerwin, Neil Sedaka, Jean Christopher and Andress Champagne. Driven by a heated passion. Haunted by an exotic and misty recurring nightmare. Obsessed with a beauty he can paint but not possess, a psychotic artist twists his inspiration into a deranged killing spree.











5. Knife For The Ladies (1974)

Though most victims have been prostitutes, the first was none other than Travis Mescal, the only son of the town's first family. When the Sheriff proves unable to solve the case, the town leaders invite Investigator Burns to unravel the mystery. Along the way, he confronts tension with the Sheriff, trouble with some citizens, and finally a killer whose motive we've heard before in Ripper-lore. “Knife For The Ladies” is directed by Larry G. Spangler and stars Jack Elam, Ruth Roman, Jeff Cooper, and Diane Ewing.







6. He Knows You’re Alone (1980)

Now can the killers latest target survive before he is caught and everyone around her ends up dead? “He Knows You’re Alone” is directed by Armand Mastroianni and stars Don Scardino, Caitlin O'Heaney and Elizabeth Kemp.
