Principle photography is set to begin this winter on the sci-fi flick “5th Passenger” that reunites Star Trek Voyager alum. The film is already in pre-production and is being directed by Scott Baker. “5th Passenger” stars Tim Russ, Manu Intiraymi, Marina Sirtis, Doug Jones, Robert Picardo, and Morgan Lariah. Fans of the series will remember that Marina Sirtis from ‘Star Trek Next Generation’ had a reoccurring guest role on Voyager as Reggie’s counselor/friend. Check out the poster and early trailer for the film. “5th Passenger” has a campaign still taking place over on Kickstarter that has 24 days left so check it out. Set in 2151, after the Yellowstone Caldera volcano erupts throwing the Earth into chaos, 5th Passenger tells the story of a secretly pregnant female officer and her four man crew adrift in deep space in an escape pod after their transport ship explodes before reaching the new home planet. They fight amongst themselves as they run low on air, but must work together to find a vicious alien hiding aboard their craft before it kills them all.
