The sixth season of ‘True Blood’ will premiere on June 19th 2013 on HBO. The shows return will consist of ten episodes and see the regular cast all return as well as some new blood. Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Deborah Ann Woll, Rutina Wesley will be joined by Rob Kazinsky and Rutger Hauer. Also behind the scenes, Mark Hudis, who was selected to replace series creator Alan Ball as showrunner stepped down in early March. According to HBO, Hudis vacated the post in order to take on development, as per his overall deal with HBO. Hudis is being replaced by “True Blood” co-executive producer Brian Buckner, who’s been on staff since the show’s first season.
