No one does sci-fi quite like the Brits. The spin and blend they give to stories that bring to live a truly unique science fiction world that both relates, immolates modern characters and culture is always visually exciting. Now Director John Shackleton hopes to expand on that uniquely British style of story telling in his new sci-fi/action saga “We Are Monsters”. It blends some very compelling and fascinating elements that are argued around conspiracy and sci-fi forums on the internet today- Alien Invasion and Transhumanism. The film will also weave a more recent topic into the story that bloggers have ranted about for decades-the 1 percent are not who you think they are!
“We Are Monsters” is currently seeking funds at Kickstarter and hopes to tell the story of troubled schoolgirl Lorna, who is an outsider whose mysterious illness and over-bearing parents have always held her back. So when she meets a group of similarly outcast teenagers, Lorna impulsively runs away with them on a journey of self-discovery that will change her life forever.Together, their unique ailments mutate, endowing them with enhanced senses and exciting new powers. Spurred on to uncover their true identities, their journey leads them into conflict with powerful and mysterious figures within the ruling classes that control the military, the Police and the media.
