Horror Short "A Tricky Treat" Wins At Macabre Faire Film Festival In NY

 A Tricky Treat, a short horror comedy directed by acclaimed Canadian filmmaker PatriciaChica, has been honored with four awards at the Macabre Faire Film Festival showcase in New York.

Moreover, America’s largest and longest running horror film festival, Screamfest, will be hosting the Los Angeles premiere of A Tricky Treat at the TLC Chinese Theatre on Wednesday October 21st at 7pm. The film will screen before the feature film, The Hallow (The Woods). Director Patricia Chica, the cast, and crew will be present.

A Tricky Treat comes fresh off its World Premiere to an enthusiastic and packed house at Montreal’s prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival, where it competed as an Official Selection. It then had its American Premiere at DragonCon in Atlanta where it was a finalist for Best Horror Comedy.

The film was penned by award-winning writer Kamal John Iskander, executive produced by Tara Kurtz, produced by Patricia ChicaGrace SantosByron A. Martin, and co-executive produced by Adonai Interiano and Morris Umali.

Starring Leonard Waldner (the victim), Steve Brewster (father), Andrea Fletcher (mother), Keira McCarthy (daughter), and newcomer Marco Reilly (son). Key crew members include Imad Rhayem (DP), Gabrielle Giraud (Production Designer), Danny McCarthy (Special FX supervisor), Henry Lipatov and Anton Golovchenko (Visual FX supervisors), Valentina Badaracco (makeup), and RedLab Digital (post-production studio).
