“A Dark Souvenir” is directed by documentarian/indie filmmaker /activist Matthew Pillischer. The horror/drama follows the content life of a young couple begins to spoil after they return from their honeymoon in Scandinavia. Frieda and John experience fits of illness and memory loss, and share the same visions of a faceless, hooded figure present in their home.The couple struggles for a return to normalcy as something seems to be pushing its way into their life. An explanation may come from pictures they took while visiting an old island fort outside Copenhagen, the Trekroner Søfort. The newlyweds must figure out what they've brought home with them before their sanity completely unravels, and before the sinister presence is fully born into their reality.
