Check out the trailer for “Come Out And Play”. The film is a remake of “Who Can Kill A Child” and plays with the scary notion of homicidal children based on the novel by Juan Jose Plans. Directed by Makinov it stars Daniel Giménez Cacho, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Vinessa Shaw. It also has enough creepy and evil children to make you want to run really fast when passing a play ground or lock your car doors when stopping at that one really long red light by the school yard!
Beth (Vinessa Shaw) and Francis (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), a happy young couple expecting their first child, have come to Mexico for a romantic getaway, renting a boat to visit an idyllic island off the coast. Everything seems perfect at first, as they arrive on a sun-kissed beach where children are playing and giggling on the dock. But as they make their way through the strangely empty streets, an atmosphere of unease sets in. An abandoned hotel. A distress call that repeatedly echoes from a radio set. The sense of being watched. The sound of children’s laughter drifting through the streets. No adults. When Francis witnesses a smiling little girl bludgeon an old man to death in the dusty streets, it’s clear that something is terribly wrong with these kids. As the groups of menacing, stone-faced children creep ever closer, Francis must protect his very pregnant wife and get them both off the island before they suffer the same fate as all the other adults.”
