“Dead Blood” is an Italian short film that blends fantasy and horror in a dark story of epic struggles between vampires and zombies. The short is intended to be a predecessor for a feature length film to come later. The proposed feature film is intended to be shot entirely in Italy with a local crew and an international cast. The choice of using English as the primary language in the short film is an example of international research for the project.
Directed by Pietro Tamaro and starring Romina di Lella, Carlotta Morelli, Jonathan Silvestri, Amin Nour and Amir Issaa the short film serves to tell the story of Ely, a pregnant girl about to give birth, and her boyfriend Mat, are forced to seek shelter in a mysterious dungeon, landing themselves in the middle of a battle. A battle between a family of alluring vampires and a horde of ravenous zombies. The faith of the girl and of her unborn child will be determined by the arrival of two misteriuos characters.
