Image Entertainment Acquires “Dark Was The Night”

Image Entertainment has announced its acquisition of “Dark Was The Night”. The film is directed by Jack Heller and stars Kevin Durand, Lukas Haas, Bianca Kajlich, Heath Freeman, Sabina Gadecki, Steve Agee, Nick Damici. “Dark Was The Night” has received critic and fan accolades since it first premiered during Screamfest 2014, something that Image picked up on quickly. There is a multi-city theatrical release planned later this year for “Dark Was The Night” but no official VOD or DVD release date has been set as of yet.

The quiet lives of a sheriff (The Strain’s Kevin Durand—finally a leading man!) and his deputy (Lukas Haas) are put to the test when an ancient creature begins preying on the local livestock and the small logging town’s human residents in this wholly entertaining old-school monster movie.
