We learned awhile back the a series based on the sci-fi ‘12 Monkeys’ was in the works. Now an update has been released for the project. The show will be featured on SyFy’s network with a pilot already ordered, cast-contingent. Universal Cable Produstions and Atlas Entertainment are signed on to produce the 60 minute pilot episode. ‘12 Monkeys’ the series will follow the journey of a time traveler from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race. Filming is slated to begin in November. From a screenplay written by Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett who are well known for ‘Terra Nova’. Matalas worked on one of the best revisions of Star Trek to come along in a great while ‘Enterprise’. Not to mention ‘Voyager’ which I loved more than “Star Trek: NG’ I really loved ‘Enterprise’, wish more people would have gotten into it so it could have seen a longer run. Based on the two guys experience in the sci-fi genre I think the show will get a pretty tight, well designed story line and vision. I just wonder if it will see an audience who agrees.
