Word has come out that NBC is looking to create a new drama series based on the 1995 hit virus thriller ‘Outbreak’. The network has given a pilot production commitment to Outbreak, an hour long series. Co-written by Wells and Orman, the ‘Outbreak’ series is described as a medical thriller that follows an ensemble of characters as they race to contain a lethal virus before it becomes a global pandemic.
