Can The Five Survive... Again?
P5YCH is a gory, fun, fast paced horror film co-written and directed by award winning actor/filmmaker Matthew Currie Holmes. Our intention is to shoot P5YCH late summer 2012 (for a 2013 release). We've already shot a kick ass short film/extended trailer to pitch to potential investors. Matthew Currie Holmes has decided to take his fund raising campaign out of crowd funding and raise the money own his on. You can find out how to get involved here! I first talked about “P5YCH” back in March of 2012 when the Kickstarter campaign kicked into gear with one of the coolest pitches ever!
It’s 1984. The five survivors, whose experiences inspired the five scariest movies of all time, are undergoing experimental treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder. It went horribly wrong.
SYNOPSIS:
You think you know their stories.
You think you know what happened.
The movies got it all wrong.
The truth is much more terrifying.
Sandy King, Eric Talbert, Debbie Hill, Amanda Collins and Bobby White have been scarred so badly and terrified so brutally they each reside, permanently at the Milton Armstrong Wellness Centers, a nationwide series of hospitals specializing in the treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Mentored by Dr. Rick Gilbert, The Five take their therapy to a whole new level when they leave the confines of their respective wellness centers and travel to the secluded McMurtrey Ranch. There, they engage in an experimental, psycho-kinetic treatment known as Stage Seven, which allows them to come face to face with their worst fears: their most suppressed memories.
When the memories and fantasies turn real, and the body count begins to rise, the five must band together to survive again… or die trying.
P5YCH is a thrilling new chapter in the ‘meta’ slasher film genre. By using the paradigms of some of the greats, P5YCH is able to both pay homage to the classics as well as create a new, terrifying mythology for horror fans to enjoy.
