Satanic Sundays Top Ten Sin Filled Flicks Of 2012!

Every Sunday I highlight six occult, demonic, devilish and satanic films to celebrate the dark side of society's religiosity. Here are the top 10 Satanic Sundays! Truly Satanic films based on number ones from the theme posts over 2012!

10. Lost Souls (2000) From -Doing The Devil's Work Post-

A small group of Catholics led by an ailing priest believe that Satan intends to become man, just as God did in the person of Jesus. The writings of a possessed mental patient lead them to Peter Kelson, a writer who studies serial killers. They think it's his body Satan will occupy. The youngest in the group, a teacher named Maya Larkin, goes to Peter to investigate further and to convince him to believe in the possibility of Evil incarnate. Other signs come to him as he and Maya them take a journey full of strange occurrences, self-discovery, and an ultimate showdown. Directed by Janusz Kaminski and starring Winona Ryder, Ben Chaplin and Sarah Wynter.

9. Crownhaven Farm (1970) From-Spawned From The Devil's Lair Post-

Directed by Walter Grauman and starring Hope Lange, Paul Burke, Lloyd Bochner and  John Carradine. A young couple inherits a farm. Hoping that the rural location might help to patch up their strained marriage, they move into it, only to be confronted by the supernatural forces that inhabit it.'

8. Haxan (1922) From- The Beginning Of Occult Films Post-

I have to say that even though this film is sort of offense and inflammatory by 21st century standard the beliefs and myths were held seriously that the witches in “Haxan” was the true view of sorcery. A historical view of witchcraft in seven parts and a variety of styles. First, there is a slide-show alternating inter-titles with drawings and paintings to illustrate the behavior of pagan cultures in the Middle Ages regarding their vision of demons and witches. Then there is a dramatization of the situation of the witches in the Middle Ages, witchcraft and witch-hunts.

7. Jaws Of Satan (1981) From-Driven By The Devil Post-

Directed by Bob Claver and starring  Fritz Weaver, Gretchen Corbett, John Korkes and Norman Lloyd. “Jaws Of Satan” is about a preacher whose ancestry dates back to the Druids comes face to face with Satan in the form of very large viper.

6. Satanis: The Devil's Mass (1970) From-Truly Satanic Post-

“Satanis: The Devil’s Mass” is a 1970’s documentary about the Church Of Satan established by Anton LaVey. Filmed in the infamous ‘Black House’. You can not truly have an appreciation for cult films that embellish the Satanic unless you experience it through the very real world of  the dark followers. This is an interesting film and so is the Satanic Bible. I read it and held a copy for so many years but my deeper Buddhist rejected the teachings.

5. Necromancy (1972) From-Wonderful Evils Of Dark Magic Post-

“Necromancy” is also known as “The Witching” and stars Orson Wells as the head of a witches' coven in the town of Lilith, where he needs the powers of Pamela Franklin to raise his son from the dead.

4. Sorceress (1995) From- My Sin Filled Sin-O-Matic Post-

Directed by Jim Wynorski and starring Linda Blair and Edward Albert “Sorceress” is about two friends, who both work for the same high-priced, high-powered law firm, and both are married to modern day witches. Erica, the wife of Larry, believes that he is being led astray by Carol, an old flame, who also works for the same law firm. Erica decides to act and one night after a torrid sex session Larry drifts off to sleep and begins to dream. Soon the dream turns into a nightmare of sex, violence, murder and death involving himself, his friends and colleagues from the law firm which appears to be frighteningly realistic...

3. Black Magic Rites (1973) From-Wicked Cults And Satanic Whims Post-

From director Renato Polseli (Delirium)- Black Magic Rites - a delectable example of deluxe sleaze cinema. This insanely sadistic film depicts a series of satanic rituals conducted in the underground vaults of an ancient castle. These rites allow for lurid depictions of whippings, burnings and torture, all of which culminates in the slaughtering of seven naked virgins and a demonic orgy.

2. Hard Ride To Hell (2010) From My First Sin Filled Satanic Sundays Post-

A group of family and friends on a camping trip through the Texas badlands are taken on a one-way ride to Hell after they inadvertently witness a ritual sacrifice at a deserted campsite. Pursued by the devil worshiping biker gang responsible, they hole up in an abandoned church near the border, only to discover that they are pawns in a decades-old battle between good and evil.
