Yesterday I listed the six killer Santa films that where filled with psychotic killings during these Yuletide times. Today I will focus my list on they perfect cult collection of Serial Santa killers. The Claus’ are truly demonic in their desire to paint the holidays red! Notably some titles will be missing because the Killers I have chosen where a Santa suit!
6. Satan Claus (1996)
Massimiliano Cerchi directed this killer Claus flick which stars Robert Cummins, Jodie Rafty and Robert Hector. On the night before Christmas, a serial killer dressed in a Santa Claus suit stalks the streets of New York looking for blood. It seems this madman is building the perfect Christmas tree and adorning it with parts of his victims. It's up to an actor, his police officer girlfriend and a voodoo woman to stop him.
5. Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
Directed by Charles E. Sellier Jr. and starring Lilyan Chauvin, Gilmer McCormick and Toni Nero. A young boy watches his parents killed by a thief in a Santa suit. He spends his youth in an orphanage, staying quietly to his self, but his mind is further bent by an ironhanded Mother Superior. He finally gets a job at a local store, where he finally snaps when he is required to wear a Santa suit, and goes on a killing spree that leads him slowly back to the orphanage.
4. To All A Good Night (1980)
It's Christmas break at the Calvin Finishing School for Girls, and the students are planning a big party while the president of the school is away. A group of boys show up and the fun begins, until mysterious killer starts bumping off couples one by one. The police show up and promise to keep everyone safe, but they prove ineffectual against the crazed psycho. Could the killings have anything to do with the girl who was killed in an initiation stunt at the school a few years earlier? Directed by David Hess and starring Jennifer Runyon, Forrest Swanson and Linda Gentile.
3. Tales From The Crypt *’And All Through The House’ Segment(1972)
Directed by Freddie Francis and starring Joan Collins, Peter Cushing and Ralph Richardson. Five people are trapped in a crypt and are shown their futures by the evil cryptkeeper. They are given the option of avoiding their fates - by avoiding living out the rest of their lives. In ‘All Through The House’ Joan Collins After Joanne Clayton kills her husband on Christmas Eve, she prepares to hide his body but hears a radio announcement stating that a homicidal maniac is on the loose. She sees the killer (who is dressed in a Santa Claus costume) outside her house but cannot call the police without exposing her own crimes. Believing the maniac to be Santa, Joanne's daughter unknowingly lets him into the house, and he apparently starts to strangle her to death...
2. Rare Exports (2010)
On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader. Directed by Jalmari Helander and starring Jorma Tommila, Peeter Jakobi and Onni Tommila.
1. Christmas Evil (1980)
Directed by Lewis Jackson and starring Brandon Maggart, Jeffrey DeMunn and Dianne Hull. Widely recognized as the best of the Christmas horror efforts, Christmas Evil is the story of a boy who loves Christmas. He is scarred as a boy when he learns that Santa is not real. Throughout the rest of his life, the toy-maker tries to make the Christmas spirit a reality. He becomes obsessed with the behavior of children and the quality of the toys he makes. When he is met with hypocrisy and cynicism, the resulting snap causes him to go on a yuletide killing spree.
